Time!

Thanks for sharing all this info!! How many days did it take to get it back??

It took about 6 days. But with the two weekend days he still met the 4 business days from the day he received it. Ryan is a stand up guy. But they just dont have people sitting at the computer all day to talk to people. I was hesitant as well but Ryan definitely took care of me and I will continue to tell the whole world about Watchplate!

I'm definitely considering sending in my watch and Milanese Loop to be plated, but I can't decide between yellow and rose gold. Based on the customer photos on Ryan's website, is a rose gold milanese loop too feminine for a guy to pull off?

Looks awesome! How long did it take to get it back??

I think their turn around time is getting better, it sounds like they have somewhat perfected the process and can do 50 at a time.

I sent mine in last Tuesday and picked it up last night so 8 days total

I personally think it would be. Maybe see about getting 18k gold vs 24k so it won't be as yellow and probably more closely match the Edition.

Personally I think yes… But I don't think I can speak for all guys. If you can rock it, go for it.

Mine was a bit of an exception… He had an issue doing my loop and so he decided to redo it ( after calling me to explain personally) and even though he upgraded me to next-day delivery, it was probably about 10 days turnaround total.

Huh... strange... I guess that means when I plate my gen 2 watch it won't match my current loop… #FirstWorldProblems

Yours might be 18k. When they switched the process from Ryan doing his initial they also switched the gold because they wanted it to look just like the Edition. Just ask Ryan but I'm pretty sure mine is 18k. Received mine back on May 13.

It's actually stated in large bold letters on the home page: "CHOOSE FROM 18K YELLOW OR ROSE GOLD."

That's actually a good thing. The closer the color to the Edition, the better.

Well look at that! Never even saw it haha. And yeah, I definitely agree it's a good thing. I'd want as close a match to the Edition as possible.

Hey Guys,

Yeah we switched to an 18k process shortly after taking orders, so most people have the 18k process. Regarding the slow email response time, its true, we are still a small business and in limbo of not being big enough hire a team, but not small enough for it to be easily managed. Everyone has been super cool and understand though.

Blue leather loop with gold today

Thats such a rad combo!

Nice to see a poster from here is able to capitalise and make some money from this, and seems they are doing well and they do a good job.
One question from me, ....What if you just want to Gold plate the watch and not the band? Still $399? I only see a price for the whole watch and an extra band. Nothing for what i asked about.

What band do you have? I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm curious what you are pairing it with that doesn't require plating itself.

I dont have one but im not partial to metal watch bands. Im just asking what it would cost just to do the sides of the watch itself. $399 seems steep just to do that is all im saying.

Im more of a chrome or nickel plated guy. None of my guitars have gold on them. But i do like this watch. Not sure if it i stock or not.

I understand that most of what we're paying for is the labor of completing the plating. The materials are inconsequential, which is probably why the cost is the same with or without the band. If you do decide to proceed, I bet the gold with the chrome would look really nice. I pre-ordered a 'Click' adapter along with the chrome link band… I expect it to look really nice with the gold.

Is it possible to plate a Milanese Loop band to made it darker? I think a standard SS case with a black loop would look pretty neat and be unique.
