I panicked when I couldn't download my daily Arcade "Patterned" game puzzle. Checked and rechecked my wifi, restarted the app, restarted my iPad, suspected demonic possession and contemplated getting out the sage and emailing support. It never dawned on me the problem could be with iCloud.

Here I thought my cMP was finally dropped from support as I couldn't download episodes I purchased recently.

Cloud is super fun isn't it.
The computer industry is pathological. We are just getting deeper and deeper into over-complication, convolution, forced-obsolescence, forced-dependence, and perpetual increase of failure states.

Apple is experiencing a widespread outage today, with a wide range of the company's services and apps down or experiencing issues currently.

Affected services and apps include the App Store, iCloud, Siri, iMessage, iTunes Store, Apple Maps, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple TV+, Find My, FaceTime, Notes, Stocks, and many others, according to complaints across Twitter and other platforms. Apple's developer website is also inaccessible due to server issues.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that some of Apple's internal systems are also down:

Update #1: Shortly before 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time, Apple updated its System Status page to reflect ongoing issues with several of its services.

Update #2: Users are reporting that some Apple services are starting to work again. We'll update this story once Apple indicates the issues have been fully resolved.

Apple Pay is offline too.

Ok, glad I saw this. I was sitting in my car and going to play my Galaga (Apple Arcade)....nothing. Then Pinball...just a black screen. Figured the whole Apple service was messed up.

The status page is utterly useless. I'm trying to wipe and reset an iPad and I can't get past the sign in with your iCloud Apple ID. Yet the status page says everything is running just fine. No Apple, the system is not available. LOL.

It looks like things are starting to get resolved. I'm seeing more green circles stating resolved issues over the red triangle. US (east coast)

Once the iCloud stuff is resolved and the main apple services, I should be able to continue my Apple TV restore, since it's most likely the combination of iCloud and App store being down that's giving me issues. Not sure if Apple TV+ comes into play on a ATV restore (especially if not subscribed to the service.)
