Because it’s a mobile device and increasing the screen to bezel ratio is always an advantage. It will still have some bezel it will just be smaller on the top and bottom. I don’t see how this is and.

Because focusing on one thing (such as screen size) is ignoring (or being Ok with) any trade-offs (such as ability to unlock the phone when lying on a desk face-up 1 foot away like mine is now, or additional benefit of secureness of holding when working an iPhone one-handed when your thumb presses the phone into your palm for an even more secure hold vs. swiping your thumb and having a temporarily-looser grip). You can't have it all, as us oldsters over 30 say.

no button no buy. I refuse to use face ID and I hate it when arrogant companies try to force down your throat features because they know you have little other option.

Assumingly you’re referring to Apple, Can you elaborate or provide specific examples of how Apple “forces” the consumer to purchase anything with their product line? You specifically make it sound like you don’t have options, when you do, it’s just _you _don’t agree with those options allegedly. If I was one that hated face ID or Apple in general, then I would just find another product or tech manufacture that I like versus let it irritate me.

Get your refurb 10.5" while they are still in the store. ;)

Ask people with a 2 year old 12.9" iPad Pro how the CPU performance is now that their battery is wearing? Time for a new iPad every 2 years? Sounds good to Tim. :apple:

I guess I could ask myself then. And I have no idea what you’re referring too, but let’s not interject Cook to bolster any points made. It doesn’t add to the relevance of the discussion.

I’ve not really seen it talked about anywhere but can we assume the days of the white iPad Pro are gone? If this follows the iPhone X trend Apple may feel a white front clashes with the sheer number of sensors in the True Depth Camera system

I agree, no more white. There will be the 2018 iPad in 3 different display sizes. Early 2018 for the entry level as we have now. Then these late 2018 in 2 display sizes. I can see the "Pro" going away. :apple:

So, the home button is really disappearing. Guess so will the audio-port.
Boo boo, I can’t used headphones with cords and press a button,
Grow up.

I’ll miss the bigger bezels and Touch ID but at least there’s no notch.
Face ID is much better than touch. I haven’t met one person that has iPhoneX that said they miss Touch ID.

Do you use apps such as Astropad, Procreate, or Autodesk? I'd say most see a notable increase in latency after 2 years. :apple:

Not to be a downer of the news, but the iPad Pros will look exactly like the leaked photos suggest. It kind of sucks that we get all of these leaks now. Nothing is a surprise anymore.

If you want to be surprised why do visit a site based on leaks and rumors???

Actually, the “leak” aren’t bad. It would give consumers some time to think if they want to buy one or not prior to “introduction to the products.”

No button no buy, a very thick headed comment, must be like 70 years old

Free of notches!
People that bash the notch or Face ID,
Have never used a iPhonex

I’m glad this leaked because it finally puts an end to those ridiculous notch comments and renders.

And also reiterates the change in aspect ratio that myself and others have been talking about but that’s been ignored by tech sites. To be honest, they probably still won’t pick up on it.

What aspect ratio change? I made a screenshot of the icon, cut out the display part and it exactly fills the screen of my iPad …

You guys are all misunderstanding my post. You don't have be a forum member on this website to see rumors and leaks. DO you guys actually read any other tech based website online? It may surprise you to know that tech leaks related to Apple aren't just released here...

This is actually a good point.

A challenge with building an iPad with FaceID is flooding a large enough region with the dot projector to help the True Depth camera detect your face. iPad users have more ways of comfortably placing their heads around the screen, so the dot projector and camera will need a larger “reach”.

Every time I've bought an iPad, I've regretted it and sold it within a year: iPad 2, iPad 4, iPad Air 2.

Now I'm getting the itch again, especially at the 12.9" screen size. But I know almost nothing has changed since last time, and I'll regret it. Dammit Apple!

Home button is useful? It’s time has come. It’s the most unreliable part of devices and it takes up too much room.

It's actually become unreliable since Apple started using a capacitive non-button on phones. A decade and numerous iDevices in, the one thing I've honestly never have a problem with has been the old-school home button and TouchID. (but that's just me)

I am just so curious to find out how this is going to all work for those of us who use the iPad exclusively in landscape and are left handed.
