My kit should arrive on Tuesday. When it comes I will post plenty of pictures of the parts before I attempt the swap.

i spoke with them just dont know how comfortable i feel ordering from a home based business.......personal choice i guess......

glad to hear you got good parts..

I did not.

Got a defective front screen, sent it back on friday, awaiting replacement. Will see what happens.

Sorry to hear about that, I did get a defected white LCD at first. The good thing is that he will fix the mistake and will do it asap as he did for me.

He explained that legally he can't throw the word oem around for obvious reasons. But the parts are original parts and you can tell when you hold it in your hand. I couldn't be happier with the look and feel of these parts.

i wondered that to..but who knows i know ifixdirect has been in business only for a short time.....like 2 months

sometimes they set up these little satellite companies...

but who knows, probably not haha. Just struck me as odd, 2 outta the 3-4 companies offering this are both based in brooklyn.

Guys,

I'm feeling pretty confident Michael from ifixit is legit. Every email I send gets answered promptly and professionally.

I know his account will probably go offline, but as he mentioned there are plenty of ways to reach him. I don't see Zeetron on here putting out their phone number or address.

My kit was shipped today, so I expect to see it Tuesday. Keep you all posted with lots of pictures...

Hey thanks a lot to iFixdirect for doing my black to white conversion :)
All the parts look really good, I actually got the white headset jack and the white dock connector as well! and yes mick is very quick with their response time.

Thanks

Or it didn't happen. :)
I'm going to recommend this to my only friend with an iPhone 4. Thanks for the service!

They're not OEM. As in NOT manufactured by Apple.

They however are 100% identical chinese replicas which look and feel the SAME way as OEM parts oughto.

very true! Apple has not released a white iPhone 4 phone or part!

now, I wasnt going to get in this mess but this is my experience. I talked to zeetron months ago about buying parts from them. the assured me the parts were OEM. through our conversations I figured out they were not being truthful. since then I have had more than one customer bring their parts to me because they could not get them to work. and they even showed me the paperwork from zeetron.

either way they are not selling OEM parts and they are using the same cheap quality parts.

I am located in brooklyn myself and I purchased parts from zeetron at first. The parts were discolored and had a shade of yellow. I am trying to get a refund from zeetron right now. I contacted ifixdirect to see if I can do a local pick up to see if the parts are good, and they had no problem with it.
Michael was very knowledgeable when I spoke to him and even gave me a few tips on removing the home button. The DIY kit even had speaker mesh which zeetron did not give me, and I like that alot. His place looked like a home office but there were workstations set up and a few people working on repairs from what I can see.

those are two different companies, stop mixing them up. If that's the case then every company selling white parts would be cheap quality parts. what makes everyone else's "OEM" and theirs not? I don't see any difference in the quality of these parts from other companies that do white conversions. There is no such thing as a white "OEM" if we really want to get technical. We've seen reviews on zeetron and how poor the customer service is, and we've seen how professional ifixdirect is. It's pretty pathetic that they keep getting banned because they try to fix ridiculous perceptions on their company, i don't see the reason for that. this also proves they are out to help and answer whatever the consumer needs help with. where are all the other companies? thought so.

figures his post is gone.....

#1 I am not and was not being racist! I was clearly making a point that I believe these two companies are the same or worked together at some point.

#2 OEM is Original Equipment not a good quality copy. and Apple has not released any white iPhone 4's or white iPhone 4 parts. and the main reason they have not is because of the matching problems that some of you are having.

#3 I hate that saying on my website also and I didnt put it there. just like I didnt spell my name wrong and just like I didnt fill in any links of products or services. I switched website guys and this one is very slow in making corrections. but that has nothing to do with the possibility of these two companies being the same.

I dont know anything about zeetrons cust service but I do know they lied to me when he said they were selling genuine OEM apple parts! and I have seen their parts come in my office and most of them say APPIE not Apple.

I also think a couple of the newbies on here are family or friends or Mike himself giving himself a pat on the back but no proof of that. its just pretty fishy how all of a sudden a company that never existed before 2 months ago are getting such rave reviews by people and in the same breath saying their parts didnt work...........

Well you'll be happy to know that the parts I received didn't say APPIE. so let me get this right a regular customer like myself has to be a friend or family lol. So I guess every customer specifically in this thread is related to him in some way. You can check his pictures and see it for yourself.

no differences from the exterior. but everything looks like a normal good quality white back plate.

I paid got mine about the same price he was charging it, but i got the plate well before i even thought about the full white conversion so thats why i didn't just go with him. otherwise i would have.

The images used to support iFix Direct merely show the final conversion. There are no images of the parts by themselves, let alone images that prove they are good quality parts. While people can vouch for them on the internet, none have been able to provide pictorial evidence. Hence, what you (can or can not) call them is negligible.

but currently all the sellers are trying to cash in on the demand of the white parts, theres really no way to tell unless you buy the most expensive and hope you get what you want
Since pictorial proof doesn't exist, I would rather wait until Spring 2011.

I will be getting some high quality photos of all parts I shall get tomorrow from iphonefixed.co.uk

Parts order are the full kit, including headphone jack, and dock connector.

I live in london ontario, i can tell you i have no correlation with ifixdirect, Another user on this forum however pointed out the company to me, i was concerned at first aswell, but i went ahead and ordered a full swap kit regardless, as soon as i get it ill put up some pics to show everyone.

I know I am new but your 2 post have to do with slamming zeetron which apparently sells bad parts buy the reviews on here I have read and the other on ifixdirect and his work....sounds strange but ok

i've corresponded with both zeetron and ifixdirect and the styles of communication between the two were polar opposites. zeetron had a very adversarial approach in which the customer was always wrong. it would have taken a tremendous leap of faith to trust these guys with my phone - especially after the negative reviews began trickling in.

it's good to be skeptical but a lot of people here buy into conspiracy theory too much.

What's taking people so long to release different color conversion kits? I'm sure my girlfriend would dig a Pink iPhone and I'd love something in a deep maroonish red.
