Like with many products (both electronics and non-electronics), I'm guessing some marketing team.Who the hell came out with the name “bionic”? It sounds retarded![]()

Apple typically fixes most of the bugs and performance issues by second point release. What's this random iOS 11.2 that come about?
To reconcile that discussion: more RAM doesn't mean better, but 6Gb pales 2Gb.Lol bigger ram in this case most definitely doesn’t mean better.

Arrggh, makes you wonder what lunatic at Apple decides to couple a top notch CPU with avge RAM config/specs (LPDDR4 instead of LPDDR4X)
Outstanding ram management? You are out of your mind. iPhone has 3 gb and note has 6 gb. We already know how android performs with 3. Whatever hiccups iPhone has right now are due to 11.0 being poorly optimised.

So, a random individual doing some comparative testing within hours of getting the phone was able to highlight ram management deficiencies that Apple couldn't find during months of testing. That general lag and random glitches will go away by 11.2 in next 2 months.
Power efficient?
Wow, Qualcomm instead of Intel. That's a positive surprise. Just a little bit of nitpicking that they could have put latest and greatest X20 instead X16, but that's fine...
Edit: Looks like X20 is announced, but maybe not yet available, so X16 is the best. Enjoy.![]()
Who said they couldn’t. You have no idea how development works do you.So, a random individual doing some comparative testing within hours of getting the phone was able to highlight ram management deficiencies that Apple couldn't find during months of testing.
Apple are not the only company guilty of this, but are probably the worst. Batteries have a limited amount of charging cycles and if lots of users are needing to recharge their phone during the day, it will lead to phones batteries degrading sooner. Driving some of these users to buy a new phone sooner. Also the charging cables are then stresses beyond their insertion/removal specifications leading to cable malfunctions. Leading to increased revenues when the cable is proprietary. Think of the number of users posting about poor battery performance with phones less than two years old, or complaining about damaged cables.Yeah! It probably is extremely power efficient when the screen is off.
This was my upgrade year and here I have the same bs of pipeline friendly Apple! Smaller battery again, really? It will quickly evaporate on LTE literally in minutes. Open up camera app and shoot a 10 minute video, 10-15 percent gone. Half an hour long voip video chat, 40 percent! I've seen this movie before. No UI disaster X, no 6sss! I'll change the battery and carry on with my life. Not a single penny for Apple this season.
No, I’m saying exactly what I had written. You clearly lack knowledge to understand what you are talking about. So you are basically saying that iPhone 8 was not ready for release.
[MOD NOTE]
A number of posts were removed as the thread was getting derailed by iPhone vs. Samsung. This is not the place for such discussions and so those posts were deleted.

Probably the same marketing genius that came up with "High Sierra"

Apple is a global company. Themselves, and their customers travel and the need to swap SIM cards.Wow that SIM card slot looks enormous nowadays. How has Apple not pushed to remove it entirely and go the 'digital SIM' route?
It would save so much space inside the device and allow them to make the device even more water tight as there'd be no need for a SIM slot.
iPhone uses LPDDR4, luckily Intel isn’t involved.Since the iPhone has DDR4 Ram, does that mean the MacBook Pro gets it next?![]()
So you are basically saying that iPhone 8 was not ready for release.
They are still stocking and selling the 6 and 7.I think the X will do great, but am anticipating the 8 will flop.
