The cable is 2 meters. The charger I think is 12W

Not bad. But it still makes you think the IPad Pro will come nowhere near benchmark performance, because there's no way a 12 W charger could keep up with the 5x as powerful chargers MacBooks have. Otherwise, your battery would be gone in a few hours and the iPad would stand there smoking.

And had it been the other way around it would have likely read:

iFixit Teardown Reveals iPad Pro's Large Battery Design Eliminates The Potential For Decent Audio Speakers

It's a no win situation!

I'd have to hear the speakers to pass judgement. It is somewhat interesting that Apple, at least this far, has portrayed this is a content creation device for professionals and then decided to beef up the speakers.

Considering I've never seen that claim made with other iPads, I doubt it.

Think you missed the point. What I'm suggesting is that people will always find something to complain about. If it had more battery people would complain that the speakers are not good enough and Apple should have put in better speakers, but because Apple have put in better speakers people complain how it should have better battery life.

I didn't notice many complaints about the battery life until people suddenly realised they could have more was it not for the speakers.

There's no pleasing some people.

WAIT! iFixit is telling us that it has a low repairability score. What a shocker. And this is news or important why? It's AN iPad. You're not really suppose to take it apart yourself!
They do a repair ability score for everything they take apart. That's just their thing. It's not good or bad. It just is.

I'm not even noticing many complaints NOW. There are more people complaining about this perceived complaint than anything lol.

To stay on your own topic, MR could have just not written the article and then we have people writing "slow news day" on more boring articles. You're absolutely right. People
So complain about everything.

I'm sure the argument among the iPad developments went like this:
-We definitely cannot put more batteries in there. There is plenty of room left but no one wants to use a 1,5kg iPad.
-What about we use it to improve the sound quality?
-Perfect!

It doesn't matter how much battery space is in this plank.
It's still a gimmick. It's still just a big iPad. We already have iPads out there. This toy isn't going to replace laptops. Could you picture using Creative Suite, Office and an HTML editor on one of these? At the same time? With multiple windows open at once on the same screen?

What? I was wanting to install a Commodore 1541 floppy drive in one of these babies.

I swear, Apple's not fair to us, at all.

While I don't disagree, people said iPads were just big iPhones at one point. I think this is a stepping stone for Apple. I think we are likely to see a Macbook iPad pro crossover in the coming years. I foresee this outselling the surface pro 4, but not because it's a better product. :(

I'd have considered making a place to store/charge the pencil. But maybe that's a stupid idea and that's why I am not paid the big bucks at Apple. Maybe these speakers are brilliant. Seeing how much space they take up I'm actually more intrigued by the speakers than anything else about this device.

I seriously doubt Apple would put the effort into making an iPad/Macbook hybrid.
The Woz endorsed a European company that did that in the early 2000's that was infinitely better than an iPad. Picture a MacBook with a wacom screen. I tried one once and it was amazing! It was what Apple should have made years ago, but they didn't they opted for more iToys and less ideas. They are out of the innovation game.

I'm still on the fence about iPad Pro, I want to really like it and the pencil is a great addition but I'm **** at drawing. I'll probably need to see one in the flesh to make an informed decision.

It's a stylus. Just get one from a corner store or a fancy one from wacom. Either solution will be infinitely cheaper.

Of course this is the only headline MR could have chosen.

Stupid Apple putting decent speakers in this device. Because no one will be using it to consume audio or video and if they do they'd surely be using headphones or Bluetooth speakers. And using that space for bigger batteries wouldn't make the device heavier and more uncomfortable to hold for longer periods of time. /s

Fact is most people who own iphones or ipads use headphones. Fact is my headphones are much better than the ipad pro speakers, much much better. The new speakers are impressive, though most people will still use headphones

If you actually hold the new ipad pro, its not made to be held, its too large, forget the weight! Hence the smart case accessory.

Is that sarcasm I can never tell, I hate Apple, Macrumors loves Apple get your facts right if it's not sarcasm.
According to your posting it's not difficult to believe you hate Apple...
Honest question. What are you doing here?
There is a very specific definition for that, but I can't write here...

Yep. Actually their core business is to sell repair tools and spare parts

DP695 Tcon chip supports supports eDP 1.4b specification. Chip is an Apple variant of Parade Technologies DP693.

Unlike DP667 it supports PSR2 (superset of PSR) (PSR=Panel Self Refresh) with selective updates. PSR basicly means that frame buffer memory is held by the panel controller instead of just GPU allowing quite large GPU power savings. When displaying static or near static images the GPU can idle.

PSR2 enables selective updates where only partial regions of the screen are updated. As many of you might have noticed, Apple rebranded this feature and highlighted it in the keynote and promotional iPad Pro videos.

When you ask me a tough question like that, I find it hard to answer. The question I ask is why shouldn't I be here, this forum is called Macrumors not Maclovers, that probably doesn't make any sense to you though.

When they change the name I'll probably leave.

Preach.

Let me understand... Last year when whiners on this forum started complaining about the "resonating iPad Air 2" the "fact is most people who own iPads use headphones " wasn't valid, while this year it is ?
Interesting...
