Based on today's buzz feed articles, you could have phased that as "Five rude responses to my post" or "You won't believe these rude responses". :D

My apologizes, I didn't get it. I've never read buzzfeed and I was just looking for a quick reference.

Why would you use buzz feed as an example if you don't know you can trust them?

Because it's a known fact that Apple doesn't allow access to the Nitro JavaScript engine on anything but Safari. In fact Chrome is mostly a reskin of Safari minus the Nitro Java engine. I honestly thought most people here understand this important fact. It's important because using anything but Safari will give you an inferior experience. Safari will always be the default browser and it will always have the best performance. This is really basic IOS 101 stuff.

It's not a known fact to everyone, and buzz feed is a bad source to cite. If you had cited pcmag or any other reputable tech site no one would have made a joke.

I guess we all learned something here today. I learned buzz feed is a lame website. Other people learned on IOS by design Safari will to give you superior performance over third party web browsers.

I love my iPad Air, but it's indeed ridiculous, I can't have more than 1 tab because it starts refreshing.

If I kill all applications then I can have a couple of them without refreshing :(

It's an iOS 7 issue, and Apple should fix this ASAP

YUP. I estimate I'm getting around three times as many crashes, safari time outs, and annoying stuff like that on my iPhone 5 since upgrading to iOS 7, and my rMini is no different. I'm convinced it's iOS 7 and not the hardware...though I also believe it's about damn time apple springs for more RAM and makes the entry level memory 32 GB.

I agree with everything you said. My 5S actually seems a little more stable than both my Air and my rMini. I crashed both of them out while playing games or some app. I know over the weekend I was in the middle of that Sonic 3D runner game and the whole thing just popped black and to the Apple Logo. I recall that happening on my Air before I returned it too... not sure what game though. Safari crashes once a day for me too... and I totally think it has something to do with iOS7 and/or the 64bit processor.

Hopefully these issues gets resolved soon.

How do you turn off all the stupid animations? I bet they probably use up 500MB ram alone. I was told theres a way to turn them off.

ios7 boots up using 700-750MB ram with nothing loaded. Thats just unacceptable IMO.

Whether or not apple can do any 'fixes' or optimization to iOS 7 we will have to find out, but in the mean time getting the amount of memory iOS 7 is taking up at boot would surly help in reloading and crashes.... is 80% not ridiculous at boot?

must be nice to pay premium price for a product that can open just 1 tab, lmao

This is stressful

I have an iPad Air and I CAN'T DO anything in Safari. ANYTHING
If I'm composing a message in a board, and I switch to another tab, when I come back to the previous tab, it reloads

This is very annoying and I'm tired of this
Steve Jobs said that the iPad had the best browsing experience, but this is not true

And I forgot to mention the constant crashes of Safari. 3 or 4 times a day since I have the iPad Air
I used to love Apple, but not anymore

We feel your pain... Apple needs to make fixing this a priority.

Totally UNSAT....I'm taking back my "ultimate refreshing machine" within the Holiday return period if this is not fixed...

This is really the buggiest iOS ever, tabs aside. Apps crash all the time, i get the black and white apple logo all the time, and yeah, the tabs refresh almost every time. One thing alone wouldnt be too bad but together its starting to feel like an old android device, and one of the reasons i moved to all apple in the first place

I've been reading this Safari crash threads all over the internet as I got my new air today. I'm trying to replicate the error but managed to open 18 tabs so far and they run fine. Do I have to be worried? Is that normal?

Edit: Am I doing something wrong? Is there an another way to do it?

You are obviously holding it wrong.

Yeah, no, you did not open 18 tabs that did not reload as you moved between them. Either you don't understand the issue, or you are trying your hand at fanboy fiction.

If it's the former, try it again, doing what I said above...navigate between 18 tabs, scroll around on each page, then tap the next tab, and repeat. You will not be able to do it without reloads. Period.

And if it's the latter, let's see a video to accompany your fantasy.

For those playing at home, there will be no video.

I have to agree with this. Safari crashes on a regular basis and it frequently reloads tabs. I hope it is an iOS 7 problem and not a hardware problem.

apple is too cheapskate to put 2GB ram on the iPad. anyone who disagrees with me please just tell me that you would prefer 1GB ram on the ipad instead of 2.

and im not telling you guys to buy android, because i know you guys don't like android. but for comparison. my note 3, i browsed newyorker.com maybe 2-3 days ago. and until now i never used the browser again. just now i opened the browser and boom! newyorker.com is still here.

becuz there is always apple fanboi around to defend apple using 1gb

These are best of breed devices. If you're not happy with iPad, then believe me you won't be happy with any other tablet out there. All alternatives to iPad are inferior to the iOS experience in every single way.
