New iPhone 3GS week 25 - second replacement with a yellow tint on the bottom of the screen. Nevertheless the build quality on this phone is great - perfect buttons, bezel, speaker, etc. I may just keep it and ignore the yellowing at this point unless I can be sure a replacement would be better than this.

I'm in the exact same boat now. I'm convinced at least all the white 32's have it. Sigh....

Black 32GB here.

xerenthar - There aren't any issues really with the speaker - though sometimes you can get volume rockers that are a bit loose or a mushy home button. Nothing really wrong with the aforementioned, just personal preference.

have you ever compared it to a model? you really have to compare it to bring out the difference the first time so it registers in your head and then you always see it from that point on.

UGH! you are SO right! i got my 3GS replaced because of the wifi issue..... set it up last night..... this morning i had both the old phone out and the new one and the new one is yellow..... now even without the other one next to it it annoys me!

i compared several areas (i.e. contacts, etc and even several pictures from the picture roll that have a lot of white in them....)

so it seems my wifi issue is gone (at least last night and this morning it was) but now i have the yellow issue.... i even waited to put my brand new screen protector on to make sure there were no issues so i wouldn't have to rebuy another one!

original 3GS with no yellow/nice crisp white screen was week 925
yellow replacement 3GS is week 928

both are black 32g

I got mine yesterday and the screen is perfect. My mom got the older 3G and it's a little yellow, but not too bad. I don't think she cares.

When I got my 3GS on launch day it definitely had half the screen yellow. It had the effect of looking outside of a dirty window.

I exchanged it for another one since the genius put another 3GS and an older 3G next to it and asked another employee to pick out the defective screen of thr bunch and he picked mine.

I've been using the same replacement from that day and it's muuuuch better than the previous one. There is still a slight yellow tint on the bottom but it's not as noticable and obvious.

It's develping a crack on the bottom but I'm not freaking out to go exchange it
