Unlimited data vs Limited data...... Yes you get throttled after 5gb(sometimes), but it is still unlimited and I can use as much as I want with out OVERAGES...
I wonder how many of those predicting unlimited's imminent demise have regrettably lost and/or given up their own unlimited plans..![]()
Your statement can be true.
However, nobody has a crystal ball as to what will happen in the future.
Let's face it the 2gb for $30 is absolutely laughable and amounts to gouging. AT&T is giving 10gb on a family share plan; betting that is the sweet spot as long as all of the lines collectively don't use a lot of data.
They need to up the caps. Make 2gb for $15 bucks and then have a 5gb for $30 and 8-10gb for $50-60 a month.
Since cellular data is the lifeblood of a smartphone I don't think carriers would devalue their money maker like that so easily.

Your post actually makes no sense. You mad?
Last month I used 34+ GB of Verizon data watching hockey games all day at work. So please, don't act like you know what you're talking about.
They'll have to kill me first to give it up.
Im dropping my unlimited data as soon as the iPhone 6 comes out with that larger display.
Plus there's wi-fi everywhere I go.
iPhone 4 + iOS 7 is a bit wanky.

So... why are you waiting?
Like I said, I'm waiting for the iPhone 6 with a larger/better display.

Well, Verizon has indicated that at some point it may force people off grandfathered unlimited plans--so enjoy it while you can.AT&T just throttles people at 5GB (sometimes) so its effectively already done this--though 5GB of data for $30 is still a deal.
At some point, I think its possible that better tiered data pricing might cause me to leave unlimited on my own considering how competitive it is out there.
Where did you hear this?? Verizon......![]()
I think what he is getting at is that you can change your plan at any time--as long as you stay with AT&T. You don't need to wait for a hardware update--and it doesn't affect your upgrade cycle.
If you are on an iPhone 4 though I'd get your iPhone 6 first and wait a month. If you haven't used LTE before, you may think twice about giving up unlimited data once you do. I barely hit 200mb a month on my iPhone 4, but now hit between 2 and 6GB on my iPhone 5.
You sure have me confused. Are you saying you are using data more today, so you are sticking with unlimited now, but will be using less when you get the Iphone 6??
Confused.
I dropped mine on two lines, finally. Stupid me. If I had done that two years or more ago, I could pay for another phone at full price with the savings. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
