Ach...so having missed the plane yesterday it decided to hop onto another one...to Korea! So it's now sitting there witha revised delivery date of 3/12. Was meant to be delivered tomorrow...that'll make it 12 days since apple confirmed it's shipping.

Let's see how much more it slips now.

Aside how long should standard shipping to UK normally take?

Mine, also delivered in the UK (London), shipped on Friday 21st (last Friday), and is due to be delivered today (it's "out for delivery" right now), 26th.
So that's 5 days, going from Shangai, to Dubai, to Koeln, to Standsted, to London.
Seems you were unlucky on that one! But I'm not surprised, I've always had problems and delays with UPS (except this time it seems, if they do indeed deliver today...)

Mine is currently sat next to yours on a pallet in Incheon.

Hope this pallet gets a move on....

I'm about to order the 5k with i7 8gb ram 295x and 512ssd, looking the google docs it seems almost of the systems are going to be shipped soon, do you think if the delay issue is going to get resolved soon ?
I'm selling to sell the old iMac with a buyer ready to take it but I would like to avoid being without a system for weeks, my plan is to order it saturday and to take an agreement with the buyer to take the old one after a week or 10 days, do you think it make sense ?

Mine has just dispatched. Ordered 13th Nov and delivery due on 2nd Dec (2 days earlier than the 4th- 10th December original date.

Seems they are beginning to get on top of their backlog.

Assuming our iMacs are travelling companions, they left Hong Kong 6 hours ago.
They could be anywhere right now, couldn't they?
Louisville, Anchorage, Warsaw, Cologne...

I really need it by Friday...

I see you have got the 'proper' keyboard. How do you find it?

Well actually that's an interesting question: I didn't realise that the keyboard with the numeric keypad wasn't wireless when I ordered, so I was slightly disappointed when I found it was the case.
But on the other hand, I won't have to deal with batteries for yet another device :)
Overall, very good, quite similar to a MBP keyboard.

I chose that keyboard because I liked the extra function keys (I'm a macro junky!) I also liked the fact that although it uses a USB port, it brings 2 more out to the desktop. I use Yubikey hardware authentication with LastPass password manager so it is much easier having the USB port more accessible and having it on the side of the keyboard makes a lot of sense.

Well I learned something else, I didn't even notice the 2 USB ports!! Quite useful indeed, not sure if it's USB 3 though. Will test with my external HDD...

When UPS say its in transit, I think they are telling the truth, an old ford transit rattling around asia.

Considering apple are saying on the orders page that delivery is on time, meaning today! I hope ups don't land the plane from hong kong in the street to deliver!

so far its left shanghai china, to go to korea, then back to hong kong china to go where ever:D

its a merry go round lol:D

Funny thing is I wasn't scanned in on arrival to HK however scanned out....

My last update was the 6:50pm "unable to load / cleared" message several people have had, but no further updates, and yet the delivery date is still set for tomorrow?? Confusing.
