iMac G5 Now Shipping

Damn it! Still havn't got my e-mail yet. I oredered my 20-inch imac the first day they came out. Anyone know if their is a delay in shipping to Canada more then the US, or are we going to see a short supply like the PM 2.5??

Got my Mac! Had to drive 7 hours though.

I had to drive 7 hours to get mine. I had ordered a 17 inch combo BUT I just couldnt wait the 3-4 weeks. So I heard a store in Pittsburgh had the 20's. Well luckily for me my Dad works and has a house in Pittsburgh's Squirel Hill ten minutes from the store in Shadyside. He brought me home a 20 incher last Friday and I have to tell you I absolutely love it! I did a benchmark test on it with the 256 that came with it, then with the 1gb stick AND the 256 then with the 2, 1gb sticks from Edge Tech I got from Staples. Well the results? 1.) with the 256-average=125, 2.) with the 1.25gb-average=140, 3.) with 2gb matched pair of sticks-average=155-160. So if anyone has heard the rumor that these Macs run faster and at 128 bit with matched pairs, it does. I have been amazed at how much faster this thing runs at 2gb than it did with 256. never had this much memory in a machine of mine. Usually i run 768. Expensive but hey it adds 600 dollars in value to my already 2000 iMac G5.

Did you have your processor performance set to highest in the energy saver pane of the system preferences? When I was looking at the iMac G5s at the Apple Store last weekend I noticed they had theirs all set to automatic, which totally slowed things down.

Apple stock closed above $38, hitting a high of $38.78 during the day.

Those guys must have been reading this board as this is the best that Apple has dine for a long time!

looks like Apple has a LOT of computers to ship on the 29th. Can't help but feel that there is another batch run of iMacs with BT coming up very soon - well at least in the next week, China time . . .
 
Help

I was looking at the places my iMac has been since its been shipped and stangely it was in NARITA-SHI JP one hour, and hours later its was in ANCHORAGE AK. However, strangely it left ANCHORAGE AK*and whent back to NARITA-SHI JP :confused: Has this happen to anyone? And should i worry? HELP
 
NARITA-SHI JP is the major international airport for Tokyo, Japan.

Like the stops in Subic Bay this one was probably to drop off freight. Might be because there is more than one plane leaving with iMacs on some days during the week.
 
20"/256/160/BT Package ordered at 6:30 PST on the 31st. Just keep telling myself I'm next. It could be rolling off the line right........NOW! :rolleyes:
