iMac Revision and iLife on August 7th?

Thats just wrong. I know that John Lewis in Glasgow, PC World in Glasgow, Scotsys in Glasgow and John Lewis in Aberdeen all had stock at the end of last week.

PC outlets and department stores will sell fairly few Apple Macs and most likely still have hold of stock they received weeks ago.

iMac revision

Personally I'm kind of glad I just recently got the 20" core 2 duo imac....
I'm not crazy about the idea of brushed aluminum at all!

I'll more than likely want the upgraded guts of the computer though! lol

COMMON iPod revision!
 
Well, darlings. This is most frustrating. Most frustrating.

I need some new iMacs and I need them rather now. I happened to stop by an Apple store the other day, cast a glance in the direction of the current models, and all I could see was chin. But white plastic chunks of chin. Even the chins on the people mulling around the iMacs seemed to swell up in their vicinity. It was as if there was a magic field emenating from the iMac display, and as people approached it their chins doubled then trippled in size.

I kept my distance.

Given Apple's newfound skills at shrinking things into tiny iPhonic proportions, I imagine that the next generation of iMacs will be much more easy on the eyes, in addition to the usual power and feature improvements.

So, I will (not so patiently) wait for the 7th. It seems like there's enough rumbling about the 7th that there's reason to that madness. However, if nothing materializes on the 7th, I think I will have no choice but to throw in the towel and buy some iChins.

Is that the general consensus among the in the know but gotta buy quick crowd? The 7th is iDay? And if nothing chinlessly beautiful and new emerges on the 7th, it's time to suck it up and build an extension onto your house in order to accomodate the excess girth of current models?
 
24" iMac ship times are back up to 24 hours on the edu store. However, configuring them with the 7600 GPU now changes the ship time to 3-5 days rather than the 1-3 that you get with other customizations.
 
Chin doesn't bother me but if it went away I would probably like the looks better. White does absolutely nothing for me and I think and hope the new version will look like the iPhone on a larger scale of course.

note to apple

GET THE NEW FRIEKIN IMACS RELEASED MAN!!!!

They aint been touched for goin on 11 months now whilst still charging last years prices for last years technology, really taking the p i double 5 and nothing short of pathetic.

Rant over :)

You may recall that when OSX came out, Steve Jobs (for those of you unfamiliar with the name, Steve Jobs works for Apple) said that they were striving to create an operating system so beautiiful you just wanted to "lick it."

I am waiting for an iMac that I want to lick as much as the operating system it runs. Not a big chin-licker here.
 
So I go camping for a couple of days of being eaten by mosquitoes, and all the while I am excited because supposedly the new imacs should have come out yesterday. I get back, fire up my computer, and lo-and-behold, theres no new imac.

This is one of those times where I just want to kill myself.

I will never. The only windows company that I do like is hp, and on hp.ca, there isn't the customize option, but I would still rather have a mac.

There have never been many minis , here in the shop where i live there aren't any minis also you have to specially order them, wich can take weeks and weeks, because they don't know for sure if they can get them.

I'm also tired of waiting, but I must admit this has been a very funny Macpost to read what with all those Mancunian running around. I forget were they the ones with the big chins the iChins or just from Manchester.
 
Yeah, we're all inbred and have chins 25% larger than the average :D

New Imac

Well like if they release it they will have to release it with Tiger, so again We will have to put out hands in our pocket for the new release of OS in Oct

Seems like we will never see a new iMac doesn't it. It's getting really old and I am numb from it.
