someone should start a hunger strike, make it public and say he'll only stop if apple reveal their plans for a new iMac.
if the reason why a lot of you say no imac sept 12 just because apple doesn't share stage with Ios devices well thats a pretty brainless. A lot of people said that about wwdc its only a developers thing only ios and osx stuff. Just because apple hasnt done it before it doesnt mean they would never do it. Please give a legit reason why wouldnt apple release the imac then. Not just because ios doesnt share and macs dont share stages.

Don't wait any longer -- just buy a rMBP like I did!
$2K even from eBay. Screw waiting on the iMac.
I've only had my Air for a few days now and loving it every second. I forgot how convenient a NoteBook is.
I wanted a new iMac just for the sake of upgrading but with my set up, added a 24" Dell UltraSharp U2412M...
I pretty much don't care if Apple doesn't release a new iMac...ever.
Hardware has to be pretty major to be shown at WWDC. MBPs got shown there this year because Retina requires developer support. First time Mac hardware had been shown in I think 3 years. iMacs have still never been shown there.
You don't call a news conference to announce your newest sports car, and then say "oh, while you're all here, we also have a new minivan". Few that came to hear about the sports car care about the minivan, and it's not going to get the least bit of attention.
you can say that about the macbook pro retina and the macbook air.
mm idk just because apple has never done it before that doesnt mean they would never do it.
Not really. They used the MBA and nrMBP as storytelling devices to get you to rMBP. It works because they're all portable Mac OS devices.
That's true. But predicting based on past history tends to be more accurate than predicting based on wishing and ignoring history.
FWIW I hope they announce new iMacs on Sept 12. Hell I hope they announce them Aug 7. But I just don't see it happening.
If everyone that made a wrong prediction went away and never darkened this doorstep again there wouldnt be much traffic on macrumors website. As long as people have well thought out, logical and defendable assumptions, their guess is as good as anyone's. Because lets face it. Few of us have direct contacts with the supply chain to make our assumptions better than anyone else's
Take last year for example they didnt announced the macbook pro or airs on wwdc, this year they did, so how can we really rely on that
however im curious to know when you think the imac will be release if not sept 12 and please state why?
.... My only problems with commenters here is that they dont provide any evidence on what they are saying.. they are plenty of rumors pointing out to september and the fact i talked Jim Dalrymple.. and i have a good feeling based on what he said not much was said but i have a good feeling idk all the recent rumors point out to september. and now that theres gonna be a september event isnt that the final piece of the puzzle ? i think so.
why are you here then commenting on this forum if you dont care.

Can you provide an itemised list of all the rumours you think are significant and point to a September 12th launch? I've been following this for a while and as far as I can tell, we've got one prediction of Sep/Oct based on lamination problems and errrmm... that's it.
I understand the thought process, at a high level.
1) Past reliable source gives a 60 day window
2) Past extremely reliable sources confirms an Apple event during that window
3) ????
4) Profit
It kinda falls apart when you start to look at how Apple handles their events, though. You don't even necessarily want to invite the same mix of Press to an iMac event vs. an iPhone/iPad event. Much more likely that there simply is no event coverage for the iMac.
I have it on reliable personal speculation that the newly refurbished iMacs will be delay until sometime after yesterday. Just the thought of it makes me all verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.

Am still waiting for the new iMac. I had ordered the 2011 but instantly cancelled it and got me a 2011 11.6" MBA refurb. Am really enjoying it, its super fast and for now it cannot obviously do heavy works but at least I got a computer to hold me off and take to college and do as much at it can handle. Loving this little guy and hopefully the iMac will come out soon.
A lot are saying its absurd to see iMac along side release of other Apple products, but honestly Apple has been bending their own "rules" and doing things rather differently so at this point we can expect just about anything happening.
Dairymple's "yep" was referring to the iphone media event and release date, not iMacs.
i know that .. lol i messaged him on my personal twitter, and specifically asked him about the imacs.
Missed that, sorry. But again, how exactly does this imply the Sept 12 date? His "of course" is just in regards to it being updated in the near future, or more accurately, that Apple hasn't forgotten about it. I don't see anything coming from him that points to the iMac on the 12th.Just asked Jim dalrymple. If the iMac was on apples radar he reply "of course"

Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to be. I just don't see it. Perhaps a screenshot of your actual twitter conversation could clarify the lines that you are reading between.
