iMac shipping times

Eight Days

Ordered a customized 21.5 iMac.
Order went through on Oct. 6th, and I just took delivery today, the 15th.
:)
 
Hey guys,

Got my BTO 27" delivered 2 days ago (14/10) after ordering on 07/10, I feel really lucky as other people are having to wait so long.

I've only just been able to turn it on now since I've been super busy with work (currently posting from my brand new beautiful iMac). First thing I checked was the screen, no sign of any issues :D

The screen was the main thing I was worried about, everything else is as expected. Super silent and quick thanks to the 256GB SSD. Haven't had a chance to test out the 780M yet, but I'm sure it won't disappoint.

Good luck to everyone else & I hope your iMac's are delivered soon!
 
To wait 3-4 weeks to get an iMac is such a horrible experience.

I'm starting to feel as if I should cancel my order as I'm starting to care less and less about the computer I ordered last month. :(
 
Same here, quick turn around time. Ordered 13/10. It has now shipped. My order is a CTO with a flash drive. I still think the fusion adds more days.

Any luck yet mate? (i know you're getting pretty much the same specs as me, and I can tell you now this thing is a beast......but then again I am used to my 5 year old crappy laptop lol)
 
Do CTOs come from China ? I assumed that they were manufactured there but reassembled or reconfigured locally. Hmm.

I got seriously fed up last night and cancelled the order, after speaking to 3 people at Apple and having many broken promises it seemed as if nobody actually cared my order, this was going to be my first mac and I expected better service from a premium company thats selling me a premium product at a premium price. My wife is a bit disappointed as she was looking forward to it, i'm looking at possibly building me a new pc instead but do feel drawn to the imac as it would fit in perfectly in my living room environment.

A guy from Apple called me this morning and apologised for the delays and mess ups and total lack of communication, if I did another order he did offer to handle it personally and ensure it was quick, also as a goodwill he would give me £80 to spend on accessories etc at the Apple store.

I'm still very tempted, i've calmed down since last night! It may be a blessing really because if I do proceed with an imac then i'll wait until after the Apple thing next Tuesday and it should ship with Maverick osx which would be preferable.

I'd take up the offer if I were you mate, as I said it's awesome......and free money for accessories always a bonus :)
 
Ordered mine 1st of October and still waiting, it has been over 2 weeks and come next Tuesday it will be three. I hope I get mavericks free at least and a iMac that runs flawlessly without any problem after such a wait.
 
Update on my order: I ordered last Friday and was given a shipping date of early November. Today, my iMac showed up on my doorstep out of the blue. Never got a shipping notification or anything.

Assembled in Ireland - came directly from Cork.
 
Update on my iMac :)

It was delivered on Monday the 14th via overnight. Great service by fedex, left the pre-signed form from apples site and my fiancé brought it inside shortly after when he saw it. The machine is absolutely stunning I must say! I checked it over real good and don't think there are any screen issues, none that I can see anyway. Very impressed with the build quality :) it was assembled in the USA also :) the 3tb fusion drive is amazing too! Def worth the upgrade :)
 
Ordered mine today. 27" with 1TB Fusion and 16GB. Estimated delivery 24-26th October. Can't wait!
 
Estimated delivery 17th-24th (yes, starting today). And nothing changed... Still Processing... Oh God!!!
I did called apple and they said it's not possible to make sure if they already assembled the machine until arrives here in Brazil... Processing looks like a gray area that you can't be sure about anything...
 
Ordered my BTO 27" iMac 10/15. Ships in 2-4 days. Still processing. Estimated delivery is Oct 24-26 standard shipping. The only thing I changed was I added the 256GB SSD instead of the HDD.
 
I ordered a maxed 27 inch minus the ram on Oct. 10, and it was delivered today. I purchased a mac mini earlier in the week and requested and got free next day shipping on the imac.

Its everything I thought it would be and more paired up with a thunderbolt display.

Finally going to enjoy the new kid, eh? I'm happy for you man, really. Mine is about to come btw 24-31. Can't hardly wait jeez.

What do you mean by "picking up"? From the front door, right?
 
Those of you in the US, is the estimated delivery date accurate or has it been showing up early? I ordered a BTO 27" on Thursday Oct 17. I remember years past my macs always showed up early. But now it seems it takes forever. The fedex tracking info hasn't been updated since Friday morning. Another thing is Apple says the estimated delivery will be Fri Oct 25 and the Fedex tracking page says Thursday Oct 24??? I wonder which one it is?
