I said in the other thread that I would buy a 3GS in the summer instead of this because this phone looks ugly as sin.

LOL. You would then procede to immediately feel like an idiot when your phone which cosmetically is slightly nicer becomes outdated in 2 years and can no longer do some sweet feature that the new one can do. Looks arent everything. I have a macbook pro. It looks very nice. If it was the same price and had windows noone would even consider it. Looks arent everything

Not at all. I'd feel a lot better about holding something that I found to be great than holding something that looks like it was designed by committee.

Nah. That's alien technology that. Probably came from the old secret base the aliens are moving from. Which is the REAL reason we can't fly in the northern hemisphere at the moment. People would see them. And their xFones.

It kinda looks like a Sony Ericsson c510 with a glass front and back.. when that SE came out, everyone thought it was sick.. I actually still think it's real. Plus I don't remember ever seeing it in akiba, though I suppose that counts for nothing.

Engadget is still showing their worthlessness. They briefly acknowledged it was a fake, then took it down. Now it is back to normal in order to get a few more clicks in. First a crap story, then they won't even print the truth. What a joke.

No **** sherlock lol. Whoever thought it was real is stupid to think Apple would make anything that ugly.

The Spanish image is itself a fake

Here's the Spanish image - with a slice of the Engadget image alongside.

Checkout the highlights on the buttons, the slider and the bottom of the device.

The Spanish image was clearly built from pixels from the Engadget image.
Why would someone want to fake this?

I loved my 1400. I thought it was great.

The 117 MHz version without Level 2 cache is considered one of the poorer of Apple's designs. The ones with faster cpus were very good.

I got one of the 117 MHz models used and replaced the cpu with a G3 (Apple used to support cpu upgrades, sigh.) I still have it. It really cooks for a laptop of that generation, runs MacOS 9. And as hwhalers mentioned, it has a great keyboard.

Thank you! My god, people, this image is SO obviously fake. The real fake story is of the Engadget photos being of a Japanese knockoff.

I'm starting to think more and more that this definitely IS a real prototype device. You people are dumbasses. How the **** do you know what Apple would or wouldn't design? "It's hideous!", "I'd buy the 3Gs over this!". You're all dumbasses. I think it looks decent. Finally, I might be able to hold the thing by some more substantial sides and have it feel secure. Flat sides is a good thing in my mind. I loved my SE T610 back in the day. You could really grab a hold of it.

Upon inspection of the images, I see some issues, I've only listed two.

Look at the power buttons as well, thinner and longer?

This is getting hilarious. Everybody on both sides has egg on their face. Editors probably don't know what to do at either site.

I do believe those are real pictures of a fake phone.

the photo's seems to be taken with a webcam/phonecam or so. Camera's like that are known for bad capturing of shiny or illuminated objects.

I don't think the photo's are adobed.

Webcam photos don't make things slimmer do they?

Look guys! I found one of these while I was walking around at Disney Land in Paris!

I'm credible, I swear! Just look at the photo I took!

P.S. I'm obviously a black person.
