What if it's not just the Magic Bar, that is an OLED key?

The whole typography on the key board appears like „screen“ to me. Remember the Optimus keyboard? That would be a killer feature and surely make headlines.

As a side effect, they could roll out a global model…

I'm sad that they went back to the "MacBook Pro" text. It looked cleaner before, like an iPhone.

Also, that keyboard looks suspiciously thin. I'm getting anxiety just looking at it.
That certainly looks like the keyboard from the MacBook (nothing), that keyboard is far from pro, this is may be why they need to print MacBook Pro on it, so people believe it is actually a MacBook Pro.

Nice. This would be a cool addition to the standalone keyboard too. I spend more time on an external than on the builtin. (Although I can't see myself ditching my mechanical anyway.) I kinda want JUST the function keys. Haha. I don't see Apple going, "Yeah, that makes a lot of sense for our customers."

Well all the keys have same gradient as the bar... except for keys that don't require changing (enter, space etc)...

So they could be!

four usb-c and no hdmi?

i guess i had better start carrying around a bag for all the adapters i need to use apple products.

I'm hoping the USB-C ports will be Thunderbolt 3 ports, which use the same USB-C connector and work with all USB-C devices.

If they're not Thunderbolt 3... this machine will be a total fail/no go for me. I actually use Thunderbolt... like... every day with different devices. It's pretty much a given that they'll be Thunderbolt 3 though.

I'm most curious is all four will be TB and if all four can be used as the charging port.

Now what if they want to do something like this for the Mac?

No HDMI or SD slot and this piece of **** is still branded as a "Pro" machine?

****ing eh, I guess Apple must make a ton of revenue selling USB-C adapters for every single function that used to be built in.

SD slot on a 2000-3000$ "Pro" laptop? **** that, thats another 30$ adapter we can sell! HDMI output? Another 30$ adapter!

At this point why don't they just make some weird proprietary port that you have to adapt to USB-C and then adapt the USB-C to additional ports?

I can picture a MacBook "Pro" with a half dozen adapters trailing out of it like some kind of demented electronic squid.
"It just works"**

**Adapter sold separately.

Prepare to be disappointed in another few years when Apple rolls out wireless charging and removes all the ports.

Yeah...but here's the problem. I have a 2013 MacBook and there isn't a single thing wrong with it. It's just as fast as it was on the day I got it...it's crash-free and I still like the way it looks.

So...what about people like me?

Damn you Apple.

Damn you to hell.

I've been trying to convince my husband since March that my 2012 rMBR is getting really slow but I don't think he's convinced. Having said that he has just bought a new mountain bike for £4k...

Sod him, I'M HAVING ONE!!!!!!

Once upon a time leaks like this never happened, especially not through dev releases.

NDAs all over the place.

I don't have a DSLR, so this is an honest question. Isn't there a port on the camera that you could connect a cable to to transfer files from the camera to the computer?

Most DSLR's use proprietary software for USB transfers, so you would have to rely on there being a Mac driver/software, and typically these applications are slower and more cumbersome to use than simply inserting the SD card and copy/pasting.

From my experience on Mac and PC, SD slots are *usually* faster for file transfers than the camera's USB bus. For example, I have an SD card with 90 MB/s read, but my camera's SD slot can only do 20 MB/s read, where as the SD slot on my laptop can do the full 90 MB/s.

Actually I doubt it. First it's one of the few things that already were pretty certain. Then Apple was most likely aware that this resource would be discovered quite soon.

Apple Pay support in Germany would be bigger news.

Really o_O:rolleyes:

I'm still disappointed that they are not gonna realease it with Kaby lake processors... hope that dont go and release it the following year after ive made my purchase.
If they do just claim on your years warran
Hmmmm..... maybe for the secure element ? But could be a simple S2 driving the OLED panel as well.
well Ming did say a separate processor will drive the OLED bar

However, if I spend a LOT of money on something and have to make many compromises, have to make because of lack of alternatives?....how would you feel? For comparison is flawed.

So why do you buy the MBP if there is something better on in the market?

Or maybe you really don't have a MBP or other MB products at and just like to complain.

Which one is it?
