So what you're saying is that Google copied Apple's mid-90s power brick. 😂

Im not a big fan of the pastel colors, maybe it would look better with the darker colors like the ones on the back of the M1 iMac, why cant Apple make all the pastel colors and also add a silver gray or black alternative? I think they would please everyone by doing so. Also, a silver laptop with white bezels and keyboard looks absolutely horrible.

Every added color increases the logistical complexity. You have to produce them, ship them, keep them in stock, …

Don't like the white keyboard and if they offer multiple colors then offer some DARKER colors instead of only pastel

When Apple introduced the original G3 iMac: “This is a serious computer? it looks like a toy!”

And the current redesigns are nowhere near as drastic as that was.

As to the bolded part, are you concerned about what other people would think if you had a Mac as pictured?

I understand not everyone will like the design and that is fine but, saying it looks cheap just because of the different color doesn't seem practical to me, especially when we know the CPU is built to conquer.
Who cares what the CPU can do, if you can't show it off in $TrendyLocation while telling yourself, anyone that will listen, and even a few who aren't, that you're working on a $TrendyWritingProject.

Is your house all beige and grey?
It was beige in the 90s. Re-clad in aluminium around the early 2000's, and then the whole house dipped in a giant anodising bath and to make it space-grey about 5 years ago.

I bet he's just glad he was following the hardware finishes of Macs, and not the OS style. The cost alone of all that woodgrain, felt and leather would be eye watering, only to see it ripped out and replaced a few years later.

I wonder if the keys were a light grey (not white) matching the bezels, it might look less ‘cheap’?
Also remember, renders are often have harsher lighting making it look sterile.

The larger function keys are said to have forced the entire keyboard down, thereby reducing the size of the trackpad.
**** that!

Why on earth would you sacrifice the brilliant large trackpad for bloody function keys?!

These colors are for children not professional working adults.
I love these colors.

And I buy a lot of Apple products for my employees. All adults.

Also, Apple has no difficulty finding buyers. If you don’t want to buy one. You’re free to look elsewhere. No need to try to speak for professional adults, especially employers. We employers spend way more money than individual buyers.

I agree that bolder colors would be nice, but there is a silver alternative. It's the second from the top in the stack render.

When buying ANYTHING I certainly don’t expect to like all the colour options. And I know someone will like the hues I don’t care for and vice versa. It’s a rare thing that you are challenged to make a choice because you like all or most of the options. As long as there are one or two choices that suit me then I’m happy and it doesn’t matter if I think the remaining options are lousy—I’m buying only one anyway.

Why all the anxiety? Choose one you’re okay with and to hell with the rest.

It would be nice as long as it doesn't have those white bezels and white keycaps. Please, keep them black!

Doubt it, given the released iMac's color scheme. Why would they all of a sudden reverse the design for the MBA? Except for maybe the silver model, black bezels and keys would be too stark a contrast with the colors.
