Damn that sucks. I wonder if AT&T will unlock my phone if I give them a sob story about my loyalty and me going out of the country for a few months.

probably not.. cs said that they aren't allowed to submit requests anymore on their own. She directed me to an online page where I had to fill out a form.. got rejected after 36 hours because bought phone off craigslist and its still under contract from seller. Eve though I have a at&t account. Called at&t and the cs said the phone needs to be on my account for 60 days. Don't think what she said is written in stone though because she seemed very hesitant about all the info she was giving me and I didn't get the feeling she was that knowledgeable about the issue. In the end I felt like she just wanted me to hang up lol...

Which is why you keep calling back until you get the answer you want. Persistence pays off.

I'm trying one service right now, just to see if they deliver. I received an e-mail stating that they have 100% turn around 1-5 days and have unlocked over 500 this past Friday, but they are very pricey (>$65). I only submitted one IMEI to see. They actually put me through the ringer though before they took my order. LOTS of verification. I kind of appreciated that as a vendor.

Personally, I'm trying to get to the bottom of this myself. So far I've been through about 5 "direct sources". I still have 3 IMEI pending with one, already over a week old. I'm told that they will "clear" tonight. I've already refunded those customers though. If they unlock, I'll just give it to them.

I'm so through with the games some of these suppliers are playing, taking orders, cancelling and telling you to reorder at the higher price.

Yes, exactly. The unlock can be done, but the price is much higher than before. And the time cannot be guaranteed. Anyway, this is true for other carriers as well. It was certain that the day would come and ATT would get on the same level.

Yeah it stinks. It can definitely be done but anything under 80 now is a bargain.

I'm going to let everyone in on a little secret: every unlocking service used the same methods. Some sellers threw words around like "legal" "safe" "guaranteed", etc, but in reality everyone was doing it EXACTLY the same way.

I have a feeling these AT&T unlock websites are just regular people who own AT&T accounts and just call into CS until they get the right person to submit IMEI numbers for unlocks. Thus the reason why they can't give a definite time on the unlock request.

Where can I unlock AT&T Iphone 5s at any cost?

Hi,

I'm new here. I would appreciate if you can recommend me on a reliable place that can unlock an AT&T Iphone 5s, I feel helpless and I'm willing to pay 100$+ for the service. Is it even possible to unlock at this time? Is AT&T permanently closed the option to unlock through third party? What the hell is going on?

Thank you!

i get from the cellcityunlockers.net
"ATNT USA 4/4S/IP5 SUBMISSON IS ON TIL 6PM INDIA TIME...SUBMIT UR IMEIS IN TIME TO GET UNLCOKED OVERNIGHT"
price now 75USD

Anyone can recomended website which unlock iphones 5s now? Yes I know that will be high price but I have to do it.

You're on the right track...

Keep in mind that each att account only allows 5 per year.

I know this is the case as I got my iPhone unlocks through ATT a few times by just asking...depends on the representative I get they'll submit the request without any hassle.

One option is to return the phone and buy an AT&T 5s for full retail directly from Apple. That phone will be unlocked.

I don't think anyone here can verify that anytime in the last two weeks has been able to call ATT and get a unlock cause as I understand they simply do not do it on the phone anymore.

As far as people thinking these sites take your money than use an account do it, is the stupidest thing I have EVER heard, do you guys realize most of the reputable sites take in like 5k-6k unlocks A DAY. I have a friend in the industry, there very much is a method to the madness. AT&T is very much in on it and bottom line is its all about money and AT&T knows that.

i had to call att few times for couple days using someone else's att account to unlock iphone 5 so it is possible until you get to the right person. The person that answers first time is useless. the key is to get that person to transfer you to the right guy in technical support (not easy) and he did unlock in 15 seconds with me on the phone. i told him imei over the phone and few secons later its unlocked. if i had direct number there i could unlock iphone after iphone.

How long ago was this

has anyone seen this on att unlock website:

"AT&T will unlock any AT&T Mobile Device for an active and deployed member of the military who is a current AT&T customer in good standing and is able to provide AT&T with deployment verification."

they would unlock it even if it is under contract

Unfortunately I'm not a customer of AT&T, I bought the Iphone from a private seller. Is unlockiphonevip.com considered reliable? I'm willing to pay 90$ but I'm afraid of being deceived, Has anyone used their services recently? Can they really unlock the 5s at this time?

Thanks!

What exactly was the cause of the meteoric rise in unlock prices? It was like 2 dollars two weeks ago.

Like said above its a GLOBAL ATT IPHONE UNLOCK ISSUE.
Give it a few days, don't panic, relax, breath and everything will go back to normal.
It happens here and there and its not one unlocker that's down, its all.

Global issue? Even for official ATT unlock request after paying the ETF?

I honestly think that I went through all the comments on this thread, but haven't found any solution or a clear answer about the current status, I think the main questions are:

Are the servers temporarily fallen? Or is it something planned by AT&T and is going to be permanently? I'm actually willing to pay money only to know these answers
