I don't get why people want to get the triangles back. Sure they were simple and to the point... but the whole theme of Leopard is futuristic and space-like. The little blue orbs aid in that atmosphere, and I like them.
I know everyone has their own preference.... but be more open to a little change in your lives, people

Different strokes man. I think the orbs look like trash. They are probably the main reason I only use the 2d dock.

I completely agree. The only problem I see in the lights is that they're sometimes hard to see - but when you're using a darker dock that's fixed - then it looks even spacier ^^

:p, that's painfull, but i don't have leopard..
Try using Time Machine!!

HAHA I never had any intentions of using Time Machine, but I laughed at myself last night cause I wasn't using it. Going to buy me a drive tonight

Maybe I missed it but does the Leopard dock have the "Magnification" option like Tiger? Sounds dumb but I really like that feature in Tiger. :p

Yes it does. I have mine set at a very minimal amount. I dont understand why some ppl have it set at max so a small icon BLOWS UP across the entire screen. :D

No problem, I'm just happy to have an excuse to not do my work. Removing the files first, then replacing them was what worked for me. Dragging the new files in and selecting replace from the pop up window was what didn't work for me.

Just drag all the files you are replacing from the resources folder to the trash (or backup, if you haven't) then move the new ones in, that's what worked for me.

Do I have to move the default files into the trash and off the HD for this to work? Or can I copy them into another folder on the HD just as a backup. Just wondering if having the files in another location still keeps them active and thus won't allow the dark dock files to work.

thats what I was thinking too cause when i switched the files nothing happened, but i didnt want to delete and lose those files. ??

Did you both quit the dock after changing the files?? You cant just drag the new files in to "replace" either. You need to DELETE the files from the resource folder. You dont necessarily have to empty the trash can. The original files being in a differnt place doesnt matter. Copy and paste your new scurve/indicator/frontline files into the resource folder, quit the dock in activity monitor, new dock.

But first and foremost, before doing anything else MAKE COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL FILES and keep them in a folder somewhere so you can revert back to the original dock.

Thanks! I did it and it works great. Just incase, I have 1 copy of the entire old resource folder under my user section, 1 copy of just the old files in another folder, and 1 copy of the resource folder on my disk drive. LOL. Everything went great but I'm pretty sure I backed up enough.

Ah that was the problem, I did a replace then auth. Not a delete and paste.Ill try it again.....and this time backup and originals! :)

how do you take a picture of your screen to show the dock? i made one i want to share, then how do you post the picture

shift+apple+4

It will give you the crosshairs. Click and hold mouse button, drag to whatever size you like, let go. A camera shutter will sound and a new picture file will be on desktop.

edit - shift+apple+3 takes a full screen shot in case you didnt know. IDK how familiar you are with mac/osx.

Leopard Dock? My first make, wondering if anyone likes

It would be interesting for someone with Time Machine to give a quick test and see if you can easily restore those files.

-First make sure Time Machine has captured your modification
-Open Finder
-Goto the folder the files are in
-Launch Time Machine and go back in time to see if the originals were backed up
-Try reversing that and put back the modified files with Time Machine
