One thing i noticed immediately about the iphone 3g vs the original iphone was that because of the tapered/contoured edges, the 3g feels more comfortable/natural in your hand.

does adding the incase slider make the iphone 3g lose the tapered/contoured feeling?

thanks

Not at all. It follows the same curves that the iPhone 3G has, and feels great in the hands (that's what she said).

Just got the case and fitted it along with a Power Crystal antiglare. It is a really wonderful case. Tried several at the store out and the Slider really stood out as the best. Only problem is that my crystal film gets push with the case and I have a small bubble that will not go away unless I remove the case. Anyone else have this problem or able to fix it?

I had the problem as well, even worse with the Crystal filme. I decided to use my besk skin ever because of the adhesive aspect. It worked fantastic and I actually like the slight grip it gives, especially when typing.

Although another member had a fix, basically put the case on, then apply the film. It will still fit and do so in a way to prevent the bubbles.

I had the same problem with my PS screen protector but in my case it was just that I hadn't aligned the protector perfectly. Once I straightened it out a bit (easier said than done), no more bubbles. Loving the case!

Yeah, same here. You just have to make sure the screen protector is aligned perfectly. Probably the best way is to do like another member suggested and apply the PS film with the slider case already on the phone. Once you get it on perfectly, all is good to go.

The funny thing is, everyone was complaining about the power support screens having about 1mm of space around the edge of the screen that was not covered. Now that this case is out, if it were not for the space, this film protector would not work with the slider case. Haha. Guess they knew what they were doing over there at power support after all (or they just got totally lucky).:D

"The Slider Case for iPhone™ 3G is now available in Black matte and White gloss through the webstore at goincase.com and will be on store shelves soon.

We're taking it a step further and going beyond black and white for the iPhone 3G, so look for new Slider Case color ways to release in the future.

(Hint: the future is shiny for fall and bright for spring.)
"

- I got this in an e-mail from InCase that was sent over the weekend.

I hope that by shiny they mean metallic. That'd be sweet.

Anyone know if this case will work if I have the full body Zagg invisible shield installed?

No way. I had to take my Best Skin Ever off the back, although I still have it on the front.

In theory you could cram it in there with the skin on but you probably would never get it out without breaking the case. So yeah, don't do it.

Ditto. I had to take off my Bodyguardz, and the invisible shield is even thicker than that! I was kind of bummed about this, but oh well. ;D

installing antiglare film with the slider

ok, so i'm pretty sure i just ended my quest for MY perfect case set up. I received my black slider today, great case.....great feel, great style. I wanted to use the anti-glare shield with it. I did my research and read the forums, it is a very tedious process to put the shield on without getting air bubbles in the corners. I tried to line it up perfectly. no luck. on to the next shield, i tried to put it on with the case already on, every time i tried I had one corner that didnt quite lay right.

After 2 shields, I tried to convince myself that the naked screen was fine......so in a last ditch effort I decided to wash the shield with soap water and an old tooth brush, then held it under running water to remove any soap residue.

I then dipped the shield along with my fingertips in a tupperware that had lots of water and a little soap (if you have put on a bodyguardz you know what i am talking about) i then shook off the excess water and plopped it on the screen, with the case on as well.

This gives you wiggle room to set the shield in the correct position.......once you are happy with it, squeegie out the water with a credit card and have a towel to catch the water.

I hope this helps others with their frustration.

I've decided to take this case back and just use my best skin ever on the back, I had 1 extra.

The case is nice but it adds bulk, there is actually a gap between the back of the phone and the case. When I laid the case down next to the case the size difference made my mind up.

this case is amazing...I got the Black Matte yesterday and, like other folks, I needed to adjust my anti glare....not sure why people like the BSE...it looks awful and doesn't provide much support....I had one on my 1G last year for like a month

Guess it's a personal preference. Take your phone out and lay it next to the case then look at how much friggin bulk that case adds. I'm sorry but a clear skin that is hardly noticeable IMO is much better than adding a huge chunk of plastic over a beautiful phone. I still have my silicone case which goes over my BSE just fine so I can use that when I am out and about and feel like a clutz.

I guess drops are one thing, but that's just my job to be careful with it.

Wow I feel like a douche. The case gods must be laughing at me. Literally 5 minutes after I posted I got up and almost dropped my phone and caught it mid air!

The BSE just got ripped off the back and I put the case back on, which I was set to return today on lunch. I guess I would rather have bulk than gravel indents on my phone.

Almost learned my lesson the hard way.

I got it for protection and fingerprints.....the black 3G is horrendous with fingerprints and smudges on both sides

Wow, quite the drama going on with you!!!! I would much rather have a slightly (and you have to admit it is slightly) larger phone than one I feel I need to treat like a fragile egg. :D

How is everyone's bezel holding up?

I've had mine since this past Friday, so far so good, but as always I am keeping my fingers crossed! I had a good experience with my first gen slider, so I am remaining hopeful.

lol....a roller coaster of emotions. After putting the case back on it really isn't that much bigger. I just love the phone naked but I have to protect it.

I really don't think the case adds much bulk. I was sitting with a class mate today who asked me if I had purchased an iPhone, I then took out my phone. Her first question to me was, "Why didn't you buy a case for it?" She laughed as she realized there was a case on it when she turned it around and did not see the Apple logo. I think Slider + PS anti-glare is the way to go. Thanks for everyones advice I was able to get that last remaining bubble out.

I am curious. Those who have the white case, notice any tendecy for scratching easliy. I got the black one in the hopes to avoid scratching since it has the matte finish and so far so good. But I would like to hear from those with the white cases if theirs are actually scratching or not. I do have a white iphone and kinda miss seeing the white color since I have the black case on it, so I may want to switch cases.
:D:apple:

I ended up putting the case on first and then applying the PS anti glare. Just have to align it properly, it was a bit tedious taking a few tries. After that just a few rubs with a cloth to ensure proper fit and remove a small bubble on one end. Hope this helps.

I got the white gloss a few days ago, yet I haven't used it yet. My chrome is so perfect, I'm afraid of it being screwed up.

I still have my incase folio since day one, and keep it in there when moving about. I know one day I will take it out and drop it so I gotta used that slider soon.

The silly things we do with this phone. :p

Any tips on putting the iPhone into this case for the first time? I've tried and still had an inch or two to go before it got way too tight. Stop, I know you were thinking it... :p;):D

Anyways, has anyone else had this much trouble? I had a hard time taking it out after this attempt and noticed that it did scratch my phone ever so slightly. I was able to buff out most of the marks but some did remain near the top back side of the phone. And yes, I did make sure I have the 3G specific case! lol

Thanks for any advice.
