Seems like at least once during any call I get or make I will get that loud burst feed back sound. Can't figure out what causes it but its not constant, but loud enough to startle you. I did re-align the phone in the case over the weekend and noticed mine has no serial number inside the case like they show on the app do I am going to call today. The re-alignment seemed to help the sound a bit but still get hat loud squeak sound.

Haha, yeah. I know what you mean. I actually did not have this issue initially, but then I "re-aligned" the phone last night and it happened this AM while on a call. I almost dropped the phone and was like WTF WAS THAT! LOL. Let me know what Incipio says.

I have no problem with the screen Sensitivity's armor series. Did you try to put the iphone without screen protector? It helps alot.

I think some of you guys forgot that Otterbox armor is also 2 ton crash and 6ft drop and that cause thickness.
Atlas is perfect for whos environment has only water and dust.
All testing was done with a naked phone. All of the phone specs and features are available on the manufacturers' websites. I did not see the need to re-visit this information in my hands on review, however I do have to point out that the Atlas has a 5.5 ft. drop rating.

Returning my Atlas today. :( I really like the size, aesthetic, and glass screen protector. However, can't get it to function well enough on calls(and this is my second one).

Hooterville MIA

Anyone else notice the lack of Hooterville in here? Could she have found a case that there is nothing to complain about? LOL

Anybody experiencing a clicking noise when pushing the top center of the case, just to the left of the top button? I haven't water tested yet because I'm unable to fill out the warranty because of a VZ receipt hold up. Now I'm a bit concerned so I wanted to get others input.

Yes I had the clicking sound one time while on a call if that's what you're talking about. I just got off a call where I had the loud whistle sound come in a couple times. From what I can tell it seems like the only time I am getting that is when talking with another mobile. The few land line calls I have not noticed it.

I really want this case to work & so far the issues I am having are making it a toss up to the LP issues. The biggest problem with my LP was the proximity sensor not working correctly either by not shutting the display off with the phone to my ear or coming back on when I pulled it away. I have not had that problem with the Atlas.

^^ No, I'm talking about physically pressing the case.

I find the sound quality totally acceptable. The few times I use the phone for calls without a headset have not bothered me at all.

Yes, if a press hard on the plastic in the area near the power button I get a sort of clicking/creaking noise. Case is totally waterproof and solid though. You are just pressing on two pieces of plastic and so get some noise.

Clicking noise? That's your OCD kicking in. :p

VZ receipt hold up? Is the app not accepting your purchase at VZW when registering for the warranty?

Yes. If you press anywhere the back tabs fit on the front it will creak. Simple answer. Stop looking for problems that aren't a problem. :)

Boo, so I just got off a FaceTime call. While the sound was actually fine out of the speaker phone this time without any distortion even at full volume, the people I were talking with kept saying that they couldn't hear me. At first I thought it was my connection so I disconnected and called back. Same thing happened. They kept telling me I was cutting in and out and far as their being able to hear me. They saw my lips moving, but not sound. I then pryed open the back of the case while on the call with them, and bingo, no more problems at all. When I first got the case I remember the same sort of thing occuring when I was on speaker phone with someone. I thought that it was maybe just because I had just water tested the case and that some of the membranes were wet. Guess that was not it though as this time on FaceTime, I did not have anything wet on the case. Don't know what would be causing issues with speakerphone?

Relax people. Jeez. Don't get so defensive. :)

I've stated my enjoyment if the case multiple times, but yes, I'm curious when it clicks.

The VZ hold up I mentioned was that the store reps failed to upload the PDF file to my VZ acct. without the receipt, I can't file the warranty. So no water tests for me yet.

It clicks because there is a rubber pad on the back. When you press the front and back together there is some give. The Plextonium panels creak when rubbed together. So don't squeeze your Atlas. ;-)

I was really excited to receive my case tomorrow from FedEx but after seeing all these issues people are having, I'm not so excited anymore :(

Brand new member here.

Quick thanks to everyone for the solid posts. Definitely assisted in my decision making.

I'm wondering if any of you have tried to combine the Incipio Atlas case with the LifeProof Life Jacket accessory? After much debate, I chose the Atlas case for everyday use on my iPhone 5, but I also decided to order the LP Life Jacket accessory because I spend a good amount of time on a lake and a floating phone is an awesome phone.

I compared the Atlas's specs to the newest LifeProof Fre case (which I think is made specifically for the Jacket) and they are very, very similar - so I'm fairly confident that I can squeeze the Atlas into the Jacket despite it being slightly larger.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I bet it would. I fit my Fre into my 4 Lifejacket not easily but it worked. I crammed my Atlas in there once but wouldn't do it again. The Fre Lifejacket should work.

So the Fre life jacket works on it then? That's good to know. I currently have the Lifeproof but I wanna see if the Atlas is any better. I need the LifeJacket because I will be going to the shore a lot while in NJ n I'm going to Virginia Beach. My fear is dropping my phone in the water while taking pics n never seeing my iphone again :(
