The moko doesn't have a working sleep/wake function either :p

Anyhow, this is disappointing, i should be getting my lex tommorow.

I think im just going to keep the case even if that feature doesn't work. I dont mind pressing the Home button to wake up the iPad everytime, yes, it SHOULD work but sending it back now... eh, we'll see.

I bought the belkin cinema from Radioshack the other day and returned it, The sleep/wake wasn't working there either :D

Nice case otherwise, but the Lexington does offer more protection than the belkin because the belkin covers on the 4 corners of the iPAD, nothing more. The lexington covers the iPad all around.

FWIW, not all the Mokos are affected with the magnet polarity problem :)

In that case i will be sending mine back, can't believe they would produce these without that working.

Tempted to go for one of the Belkin cases now

Folks, will you please keep in mind that Apple told NO ONE what the new iPad's dimensions were, let alone where the new magnets would be placed?

Yes but shouldn't they have at least tried the case on an iPad 3 before shipping out. To me it seems like they just shipped them out knowing they wouldn't work to buy some time instead of everyone just canceling. It worked on me! I ended up not canceling since it already shipped.

Anyway just picked up a smart cover which I'll use most of the time unless I'm traveling and need the extra protection.

i would order the switch easy right now but its not in stock. do u know where i can buy it?

I was just going to order from the switcheasy website as I have the new otterbox defender for protection until I find my ideal case.

The combo costs so much more though since you have to buy two cases...if I had the money I'd do it...but $35 is the most I'd go.

It is pretty spendy, but I had the ipad 2 version of the smart feather with a smart cover on my ipad 3rd gen and it was amazing because there was not much bulk added, and it came with all around protection. I only returned it as my otterbox came in and I would want the new updated version of the smart feather if I stay that route.

Just received my case this morning. Of course the magnetic on/off feature does not work. The case itself is nice though in my opinion. The strap is not that tight as some others have stated. I find it to be a very sleek design and not at all bulky.

I sent an email to Incipio to document my concern and I'll see what they say. I can live with the case but if they replace it with a working case that will be fine too.

I received this email from Incipio just a few moments ago.

Hi Darren,

Thank you for your inquiry. I am very sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused you. We have cancelled and refunded your order in full as requested.

Please note that we are currently in the process of modifying our Lexington Cases. As mentioned, it has been brought to our attention that a slight modification in the magnet direction in the new iPad is preventing our Lexington Cases from enabling the Auto-Sleep/Wake function on the new iPad. As a result, we are taking the appropriate measure to have these cases revised to ensure that the new cases are fully functional with the new iPad. We anticipate having these available within the next two weeks or so. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

just got off the phone with customer service at incipio. they took down my order number and put me in their system to receive a fixed lexington in abour 1.5-2weeks. they told me to hold onto the current lexington i have now and that there's no need to return it.

i for one am very pleased with the customer service. they are making this right and sending out a fixed case when they can and i now have a case to use in the meantime and get to just have an extra one even after i receive the fixed version.

and as bob marley said, "everything's gonna be alright".

I talked to them as well, they also stated that we probably won't need to send the case back after we get the new one, but if they do decide to take them back they are going to ship a prepaid box out.

I am also uploading my first look of the case so i will post it here and hopefully the OP can add in the link in his original post for anyone looking for pics and video of it.

While true, why would anyone then be so willing to buy the first release of a product based mostly on guesswork as to the proper dimensions?

Can someone make YouTube video showing the case Please?

There's already one out there just search on incipio Lexington

Received my case today and wasnt disappointed because I had already read that it did not work properly. I called them and they told me that they will have a new supply of fixed cases in about two weeks that I could hold on to the one that they sent until I receive the new one. I actually glued a small magnet on to the front of the case. It doesn't look very good, but it does the trick.

The case itself is quite good. It is almost identical to the STM Skinny, which was my case of choice for the iPad 2. The only difference is that the incipio doesn't have magnetic closure like the Skinny and the hinge on the Skinny is better because you don't have to fold the flap backwards when it's wrapped around the back. And the other obvious difference is the material. That was my main complaint about the Skinny, that the fabric became frayed fairly easily. I had always wished they had mad a leather Skinny. I'm convinced that they'd sell a boatload of them if they did. I even tried to convince the designer/founder of STM to make one, but she wouldn't, instead putting out a faux leather case called the Kicker, which was not good at all. Perhaps she'll read this and change her mind.

I wonder why they continued to sell it...

They probably have a good margin with the cases, remember it sells for about 25 in amazon... so even if they send you 2 cases it must still profitable or at least break even. also think some people will not bother asking for the replacement...

Hey guys, just got this case in the mail.

all i can say is WOW. what an awesome case. its beautiful, sure the sleep/wake isnt working but i dont care.

It looks just like the leather smart cover from apple, it protects the back of the iPad, very stylish.
