I have had the NGP on my 4 for a couple of weeks now and love it. Before the NGP I was a diehard fan of the otterbox on my 3gs and picked one up for my 4. However I became frustrated with the otterbox silicone flaps always coming loose and not securing to my iphone. Could not be happier with the performance from the NGP. Great case especially with a price point of $20!

Here's an "unrelated yet related" question :) Anyone knows a cheap dock with 3.5mm audio connector that will work with the iphone 4 with incipio ngp on? Without removing the cover of course ;) I'd like something not too loose, so that I won't risk scratching the iphone bottom while inserting the phone without "aiming" the dock connector :)

is the bottom lip near the charger socket very flexible? i hate it when they're too loose?
I use to have the problem all the time with Switcheasy cases before they revised them. I have the NGP and after almost a month it isn't sagging at all and seems pretty firm.

I'm in the UK too and would like to buy this case but can't find anywhere that sells it.

If I can pay someone to walk into a Wallmart and pick up 2 of these babys then I would pay you the cost plus shipping to the UK using PayPal.

Any takers?

$19.99 at wal mart (wally world). TPU texture, similar size and build as the geometric (and supposedly pixelskin hd which I'm getting through the Apple case program any day now). Decided to get because I heard the new build Pixelskin hd's aren't that great.

Comes with a screen protector too but I haven't put it on yet. Dang, you really can't beat the price or quality.

With the geometric (which I really like, daily driver up until now), there's a bit of wiggle with the phone in the case. Not at all with the NGP matte. It's slightly thicker, negligibly so in the hand but good for protection. Looks great too.

I really really like it. I doubt I'll return it. If I get tired of the smoke look, which looks awesome, I'll rotate it with the geometric and pixelskin hd.

RECOMMENDED!

omg I am looking forward my new iphone 4 case!!! but all cases are overpriced!!! Don't recommand me chinese cheap cases!!!

Just picked one of these up today at my local Walmart.

Overall impressions:
  • Nice case, definitely an upgrade over the Pexagon Tech TPU bumper I got for free (+shipping of course). It fits pretty tight, but the left side of the case bows out a little bit due to the volume buttons.
  • The case does add quite a bit of bulk to the phone. It makes it feel just bigger and more substantial, although that's not necessarily a bad thing.
  • The matte finish is really nice. I much prefer it to glass/glossy finishes. The material is not "grippy" at all, so it's easier to store in your pockets.
  • The headphone port is very spacious compared to some other cases, which is awesome. To give you an idea of how big: a "standard" L-shaped 3.5mm connector from PC speakers was able to fit, but just barely. Most connectors from other headphones would probably fit it nicely. Huge plus for me since I have no inclination to spend more money on a decent set of IEM's.
  • Buttons feel nice and responsive. You still get the tactile feedback of the original buttons, which is a plus. Silence rocker is still relatively easy to get to.
  • Haven't really tested out the camera+flash yet - sorry. But the cutout leaves ample space around the flash where I feel the effects of the case on the flash would be likely minimal.
  • Dock +speaker connector cutout is small. You won't be using much other than a standard Apple dock connector.
  • The translucent smoke color looks great. As other pics have shown, the Apple logo shows through quite cleanly, as does the famous iPhone moniker. And with the matte finish, fingerprints on the back are a thing of the past.
  • The lip of the case is raised 2-3mm off of the front display, so there's plenty of clearance to place your phone face down.
  • I'm relatively confident that my phone will not shatter if I drop it from a few feet up. And as long as I drop it on a flat surface, I'm not even really concerned about my screen being scratched up (plus I have a PowerSupport HD AG film - yes, that means I have an all-matte finish iPhone 4 and it's superb).
  • And about that film, the case made it bubble up at one of the corners initially, but a little bit of massaging around the area alleviated the issue. I imagine thicker, wet application films (a la Invisible Shield or Wrapsol) may have issues with this case.

TL;DR: Nice case, I'm happy with it, probably worth your hard-earned cash just so you don't have to buy more cases to experiment with, definitely not for the folks who want minimalist case/bumper designs that add little to no bulk.

Well just got the iPhone on Friday and the NGP and Power Support Crystal front and back few days before that. I actually ordered the Amazon one, but after reading the thread here, canceled that and went to Walmart to pick up the "good" version. Can't wait to put it on and play with my phone, but must wait until Monday night to mess with it since I have an exam on Monday.

Enjoy the crappy pics by the iPhone 3G

what's the difference between the wal mart one and the amazon one?

Actually, someone said Amazon sells the Walmart version for like 24.99. The one on Amazon is the black matte, which is not as translucent and someone mentioned it fits a little looser or there is some sag somewhere.

The one from Walmart is more gray and you can see through it better. Though I can't find the link on Amazon where they sell it. Just look in this thread or the other NGP review thread.

"Yes, the translucent mercury is the same case that Wal-Mart sells. That's what I was told by Incipio (I'm the guy that first posted about this case on MacRumors) the official color was in doing a warranty replacement on my first one. It was exclusive to Wal-Mart for a while, but they got so much interest in it that Incipio decided to offer it for sale on their own website. "

This better be good or I'll feel have been suckered into another case. Braved sunday shopping traffic to snag one at Walmart. Fingers crossed.... :D

Has anyone actually used the screen protector that comes with the case? I know Incipio sells it separately but was wondering how good the quality was.

Well, I bought the new iPhone 4 yesterday. Finally! :) I put the NGP case on it first thing.

So far, I absolutely love the case. No complaints at all. None.

I'm not using the screen protector thing (I'm just not that into them) but I never used one one my old iPhone, and it's perfectly fine.

Walmart version is actually $20 I believe. That's how much I paid for mine.

I got my black matte case today, its superb, I'd love a smoke one but I'm not in the US so I cant get the wallmart exclusive.

Yes I put it on and used it for a week. I took it off though, it's a fingerprint magnet. I got tired of having to clean it all the time.

The case works. I put it on my wife's phone and then it bubbled the Zagg skin I had on it. Replaced it with an SGP and she's good to go. I thinks it's somewhat boxy but my wife likes the case.

Works with ps antiglare

Had this case now for a few weeks. In the beginning it bubbled up my ps antiglare screen protector in the very top left corner. But over time the screen protector settled back in and it's now all good. Love the feel and protection. I also have a wrapsol original on the back of my phone too.

And for those who ask what dock will fit with this case, it's that custom made2dock case that works with this case on. No problems for me. :)

Anyone would like to help me get this nice case from Wallmart? i Don't think the one on incipio's site is the same as the one at Wall's, or is it? Will pay whatever it takes for a shipment to Greece, plus case price, plus a small amount of money for the time he/she will spend to get me one. Thanks...
