Incipio NGP Matte Smoke Review (possibly best case)

Thanks for the info OP. I just went to Walmart and got one. There was only one left at my local Walmart. Maybe the word is out.
 
Just picked this case up from Walmart and I gotta say this is the best I've used hands down. I like the look and especially the feel of the case. Finally, I can stop buying cases :D
 
My NGP arrived a couple of days ago and I gotta say it's everything I had been hoping for--smart looking, nice feel, ample protection. Well done Incipio! :)
 
Made it out of Walmart alive. Let's see: sturdy but soft at the same time, well constructed, able to see the Apple logo because of the transparency, easy to press buttons, flashy Incipio inscription! I LOVE THIS CASE!
 
I might pick up this case from Walmart. I got my Pixelskin HD in the mail and im really not liking it, It's way too... flexible/pliable I guess? I want a more stiff rigid case that I can actually feel that it's going to protect the phone.

Go for it! I picked one up recently and really like it. Great case for a great price. I can't compare it to the PS HD, but am happy with the look and feel of this case.
 
As of now I enjoy my slightly defaulty ps HD (hard to press volume buttons) better than this because I can't connect a few of my headphones into the top because the top of the case if pretty thick.

Still a solid case though. If they made a slimmer one, I'd buy it again =P

And the smoke is hopefully gonna work awesome with my free gelaskin =P
 
Can the NGP be used with a phone wich has been fitted with front+rear protective film, or the phone won't fit anymore? Will the film bubble? :)

Another questione... is the Mercury Gray sold on the incipio site the same clear one sold at Walmart? (I'm Italian and here we haven't Walmart :p)
 
I just got mine from Walmart! The actually restocked since they were out last Sunday. I have on the SGP oleo front film which doesn't bubble and LuckyLabs carbon back. The fitment is fine. I think the lip on the front actually covers more of the sides of screen than the Pixelskin. I'm liking this case so far.
 
Thanks, that was exactly what I wanted to hear.. I liked a lot more the Belking Grip Vue style with clear sides but the new "version" had them frosted too, so I think that it's better for me buying an NGP as it seems the best case so far ;)

Do you know if the mercury gray is the same sold at walmart? I really like the walmart clear one, but I'm unable to buy it here in Italy...

Yes, the translucent mercury is the same case that Wal-Mart sells. That's what I was told by Incipio (I'm the guy that first posted about this case on MacRumors) the official color was in doing a warranty replacement on my first one. It was exclusive to Wal-Mart for a while, but they got so much interest in it that Incipio decided to offer it for sale on their own website.
 
How do u guys feel about tpu style cases that cover the sleep awake button and over time forcing the button to become more and more flat?

Maybe its just me but it seems like all tpu cases that I used with my 3G made the button almost completely flush with the phone.

I think it's a good thing because dust won't get in the crack so easy. Like some other cases, maybe a little part of it doesn't completely go over the screen protector.
 
Has anyone in the UK managed to get their hands on one of the Matte Smoke cases?

I have bought a solid black version of this case on ebay but the flash cut out is a lot smaller than the pictures advertised on their site and I get the flash halo issue so I'm looking to get this one instead. Incipio must have modified the design of the case after people started complaining about the flash issues with the cut outs which aren't big enough.

It also looks a lot better than the one I currently have and would fix the flash issue.

I noticed they have them on amazon.com but I suspect they either don't ship to the UK or the shipping is really expensive.

If anyone has managed to get one or knows of someone who has, I'd be keen to know how!
