Why would they want your old phone?!

The idea is you can use your old phone with the PAYG, i.e. give it to your parents, girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, dog, ...

I'll take an old unlocked iPhone please. :)

I bet Steve's dog or cat - whichever he prefers - has an iPhone :D I'd give my cat an iPhone too, if it was ball-shaped so she could play with it. Too bad they don't come in gold. That's her favorite color.

Have 4 cores isn't natural. You only have 2 butt cheeks, 2 boobs, 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 brain hemispheres, 2 balls or 2 ovaries. It just ain't natural. If GOD wanted Macs to have 4 cores she would have given us 4 of everything!

Good advice - but it would seem to me that entry #101 is in fact the 100th comment. The original post is #1.

Aha, is the first post considered a comment or a post? It is a comment, technically... Would everything following the initial post/comment though then not be a reply?

Ah, semantics are fun. :D

Well technically you are a quadra-ped because you have four limbs. Most things in nature are powers of 2. Either 2,4,8,16,etc. So it is only natural that after dual core the mac would eventually become a quad-core, octo-core, etc.

Well that may be... but what am I going to do with 4 balls? I have enough trouble now trying to keep my brass ones in their place. ;-)

Similar to how many people talk about Revision A of a product line; it's not a revision if it's the first version.

New iMac Immanent....

Just had a look at the Apple Store site and found that the top-end iMac in the UK is showing a 3 day lead time.... low inventory+new CPU = QUAD CORE iMAC RELEASE?????

Here's a screenshot to prove my point.

The posts previously regarding heat emission would support the notion that QUAD CORE would most suit the iMac, until further advances are made to allow a MBP to sensibly use it.

The UK was low on Mac Minis a few months back, yet Apple hasn't released new models...

Can someone in the know make it clear whether this means that there will be a quad MBP released (even if its just a 17" upgrade or whatever) in August/September or if there is a long wait after the processor is released so sometime in 2009, or even late 2008?

My uni course starts very early in September so I'll need a laptop for then, and it'll be nice to know what to expect and when!
