Even if they are not actors (which they probably are) - you interview a few hundred people, and you will probably find 3-5 dumb rocks like that....

[most] people do not buy processors. They buy computers hence an add about computers. When did you see the last ad about a processor from any company (including Apple)? Never? Why is Apple not making the ads about processors? Are their processors that bad or something?Exactly. What about the processors? Why is Intel avoiding discussion of the one part of those machines they have any involvement in? Because it‘s damage control. You can make the claim you have about Macs for another year, and the industry for probably another few years, but Intel fears that the inevitable has finally happened and x86 is in decline.
Then you must be sadistic.I actually loved our MP6,1s: they rocked from the day I got them till they got replaced by MP7,1s. Yes it was a long wait for the MP7,1 - but the "trashcan" was far better than some people out here make it out to be. We sold our MP6,1s second hand for a nice amount to an architect who was replacing his MP5,1s (wanted to upgrade to a more cerent macOS version). Dude even sent me an email afterward asking if I had any more of them as he found the MP6,1s rocked too and wanted more of them.
I hate the touchbar - to me the touchbar is far, far worse than the butterfly keyboard - Apple's (free) replacement program gives you a butterfly keyboard that actually is OK to use and doesn't seem to get anymore debris inside the keyboard now.
they're not wrong about not being able to game, and needing several devices.
First rule of competitive advertising: don't draw any attention to your competitor. This advert says "Apple" about 200 times. Horrible work - someone should be fired. But it's hilarious. This is how a company advertises when they can’t compete.
Don’t you have phones?I find it amusing everyone talks about "gaming" and how bad it is in the Apple ecosystem. When Apples revenue from gaming was reported to be multiple times the revenue of all the other gaming companies combined.
Aple devices are poor man's gaming computers.I guess it depends on the game. Seems there's actually a lot of gaming happening on Apple devices.
And needing multiple devices isn't really a problem if each device is tailored for a specific purpose.
Would someone rather read books on a 10 ounce iPad Mini? Or a three pound 14" Dell 2-in-1 with your fingers mashing the keys on the keyboard folded around the back?

The old Macs were so superior that Apple eventually had to turn them into PCs and make sure they could run inferior Windows.I guess I’m just confused on how they’d be allowed to be a foundry after they keep up this pathetic marketing strategy. It’s one thing if your products are actually superior like the old Mac vs PC ads back in the day, but when you have to stretch like this it just comes off sad.

While I have upgraded the RAM and HDD/SSD in my iMac and MBP in the past many family and friends do not. It’s a comfort thing and even then will only consider it as a last resort. Most average consumers balance needs now and up to 3-5 years out and present budget. While there is a small percentage in comparison (including me) who would not hesitate to open up an iMac or MacBook to upgrade RAM and SSD it’s simply not the majority of consumers. I understand it’s not something we want to hear and would prefer the option but if it happens I would welcome the surprise from Apple. I am not loosing sleep over it as upgrading any component is not done frequently. The reason I upgraded my HDD to an SSD was related to speed and the RAM was related to a balance of curiosity and cost.I fail to understand how can it be a positive thing to have soldered RAM?
You can have 8 or 16GB locked in. so will developers producen 8GB optimized programs? Effectively you argue for making ether 16 or 8GB the standard.
why can’t we have solders 8/16GB ram and one slot to put in more ram if needed in 10 years?
why not have soldered SSD memory but also one M.2 a lot we could use to upgrade the storage with 500GB more or even 4TB sticks in 5 years?
why not have the ability to upgrade instead of scrap/sell to buy a new one?
It's not an Apple web site. Apple web site is apple.comHow do you misspell the most important word in that sentence? On an Apple website? 🤣
But yes... Macs aren't good for playing AAA PC games. What's new.

You presume I didn't buy the MP6,1s with the right amount of stuff in them already. They were indeed custom built, and I've never had any need to upgrade anything in them till they got replaced by the MP7,1s - in fact the CPU and GPU in the MP6,1 were maxed out, there was plenty of RAM and well storage: that's why we have a few synology boxes in the basement.
Same goes for the MP7,1s: they're unlikely to need an upgrade in the coming years, they'll do what they do till they get replaced (and honestly: I'm looking forward to an Apple Silicon box to replace them with - if the M1 mac mini could have more RAM, I might have considered one of those already to be fair
The need for upgrading after I bought it isn't a need of mine. What I do see a a huge problem with the MP7,1s: heat.
