So none of these people have seen a two in one laptop that’s been on the market for well over 5 years? Yes I call bs

such a shameful ad by intel. what if apple did something like a bunch of "mac vs pc" commercials? how cruel and distasteful would that be? good apple. bad intel.

[most] people do not buy processors. They buy computers hence an add about computers. When did you see the last ad about a processor from any company (including Apple)? Never? Why is Apple not making the ads about processors? Are their processors that bad or something?
Apple doesn’t sell processors, they sell computers. Intel doesn’t sell computers they sell processors.

As far as when anyone has advertised processors, look at Intel’s ads from the dawn of time— more animated fly throughs of processors sitting on circuit boards than you can shake a stick at:

It used to be that people bought computers because they had "Intel Inside", now Intel can only ask you to buy Intel Inside because of the touchscreen outside.

What I love about this ad, and all of Intel's recent anti-Apple ads, is that they spend exactly zero seconds talking about the virtues of Intel processors. There's no getting past the fact that when it comes to the one thing Intel actually does, Apple is smoking them. Sure there is plenty to be said in favor of PC's, but this is a really sad and desperate look for Intel.

Machines, like people, perform poorly when they are tasked with trying to "be" multiple things at once, rather than focusing at one thing and being the best they can at it. Intel continues to try to spin their marketing to make Apple consumers appear to not understand technology or the industry. When in fact, many of us are well acquainted with who they are and what they sell, which has pushed us in the direction we are in now.

Intel does sell computers. In fact they may have more computer models (desktop and laptop) in their NUC line than Apple. They do sell processors but mostly to other companies not people. Companies do not watch commercials. Intel has always spent part of their advertising budget on sponsoring computer advertising for their major customers (Dell, HP etc.) So they always advertised computers not processors.

The weird thing about Windows is that it never really improves. You'd think the most recent version of Windows would at least function well as a game launcher right? But no, even a simple task like that where you have to minimally interact with it and it's still a death of a thousand pinpricks.

(1) Never liked look and feel of Windows. I agree w/the late Steve Jobs about you-know-who's bad taste
(2) I have a PC for work-related stuff. It's almost always booted into Linux. Thank God.
(3) Customizing PC's ain't all its cracked up to be; with great freedom comes great responsibility (and hassles)
(4) Commited Apple fans would not be confused about whether that equipment is Apple hardware.
(5) Lit up PC? I hide my PC away, so I don't have to hear the fan or deal w/cooling system mess.
(6) PC world doesn't have Apple's amazing product integration. Computers work for me, not other way around.
(7) There are games that are specific to Apple equipment too. Windows has 57,000 games, mostly similar & mediocre?
(8) Let's face it, Apple equipment is more expensive, for a sweeter ride.

I know, right? They're still dragging around all that legacy crap. The look changes are mostly superficial. Under the hood it still looks like a mess with the same old configuration hassles.

This click bait-y MR article puts Facebook newsfeed algorithms to shame. Dangle a cringe anti-Apple ad in front of Apple customers, ensuring emotional clicks and comments. Meanwhile YouTube algos register the traffic and promote the clip to more eyeballs locking in the desired exposure for Intel marketing.

Regarding the gaslighting in the advert the issue with PC's has never been variety, specs, or customization. It's when you actually have to use the product for real work and struggle with a bunch of annoying usability and stability issues. Apple isn't perfect with QC but you can always walk into a store to talk to humans. The big three Lenovo, HP, and Dell are much better for enterprise because they have their own IT department for supporting users. Even the best premium "next day onsite service" warranty programs in PC land is lacking and I've used them all. The best summary of the Windows world is, after many years, they still can't get scaling or laptop sleep modes to work correctly. Instead they put out an app note telling users not to use sleep mode when putting a laptop in a bag due to risk of turning on with no ventilation. I can hear Intel saying "that's Windows and nothing to do with CPU's." Indeed, just like all the OEM notebooks in the ad have nothing to do with Intel and would be actually be better served with AMD Ryzen inside.

Wait, were YOU like the people in this ad that, ONLY with the purchase of a new PC, did you realize things like adding a second SSD, more RAM, changing the battery were possible and has been possible on PC’s all this time? I’ve been using Macs and have liked them for awhile, but I’ve always known about PC’s and have helped folks upgrade theirs (wading through different memory options can be challenging for the uninitiated).
Maybe he had his head buried in the sand for that long. Gosh I knew that from my first Windows 95 machine but seriously I bought a PowerMac G5 and bought into Apples ecosystem. By no means am I saying I was right or I was wrong by doing so, it just suits my needs the best.

The engineering goes into apple products, hardware and software… all under one roof for the best possible costumer experience, the effortless care, the best custom technologies and integration.

than you see this stuff from intel and microsoft, they should be ashamed, they will never have what apple have.

The thing is, “Apple fans” are value buyers. They wait until the right machine comes out, they buy it, and they keeep it for years. By upgrade time, the boost from the latest & greatest is mind blowing. The people in the ad are not those people. Why? Because they are not knowledgeable.

Apple ads typically feature creations made with their products. You see the ad, you say Wow. You mean I can do that? I can make that incredible movie with my phone? I can do what they blind guy is doing … with my phone? You don’t see people who come across as these people do in the Intel commercial.

I like this ad because it is a great reminder of what we should be able to do with such high priced devices and machines. I have a MacBook that feels severely handicapped and can only use it for browsing and coding. YouTube and twitch videos are causing my fans to go nuts while using big sur.
then you don't have a MacBook, or you do and it's like a 2012 lol. Sorry but I stream to twitch on my MacBook and it doesn't make a sound so calling bs on that one :/

PC is PC, Mac is Mac, and some people do not understand where to efficiently use each device which is not very surprising nowadays.

What a corny ad. Intel needs to stop targeting Apple in their ads. It is possible to make funny and engaging ads highlighting their technology without trying to pull someone else down. Take the high road. An ad that focuses on the vast array of Intel processors powering literally everything. Or an ad about Intel's heritage with an inspiring future ahead. The possibilities are limitless, yet this is what they come up with?
