International (EU, non-US) iPad 2 Shipping Dates, 1st "Prepared for Shipment" Status!

Getting closer!

Out of nowhere, my Camera Connection Kit is now slated as "out for delivery" so should get that today. No idea where that came from, it's been missing in action for days now.

My iPad is still listed as delivers tomorrow. I was getting very doubtful about that as it seemed to be spending a lot of time in Koeln but last night it hopped over the channel to East Midlands/ Castle Donnington and left there at 5:20 this morning on it's way down to my local hub for delivery tomorrow - WoHoo!

I do tend to get caught up in the excitement of all this tracking nonsense but, if it does turn up tomorrow, that will be a good job done: dispatch 2 weeks to the day from order, 5 days from China to me. Apple quoted 2-3 weeks to shipping so have come good on that and 5 days from China, I think, is the best I've ever had. My MacPro took 10 days!

This is ridiculous...Other people that also ordered at the same time from Store Mexico, are geting their Ipad shipped and I'm still stuck with the same NOT YET SHIPPED ! message.

Same thing with people from other countries with shipping times that don't make sense based on the date they ordered. What the Hell apple ! Put your sh** together ! @^%#@ !!!

That's too bad for us, mate... If you have time, please have a look at your iPad2 in the dark: I guess we all would like to know whether the problem of backlight bleeding has been solved or not...
My two iPad 2's are supposed to arrive this week (the Netherlands)... I am so looking forward to it...

And for those wondering what version the OS is in the shipped ipad. Its 4.3.1 they have updated it. (Too bad for those like me who wants to jailbreak their ipads)

Thanks! I guess we will have to live with some degree of backlight bleed, as it appears to be inherent to the current LCD technology. Anyway, enjoy your new device: I am sure it is awesome!

argh, i have to rant a little!

just spoke with TNT regarding my delivery to Switzerland. it was due tomorrow but idling (at the beach?) in HK since friday and on apple's shipping status page the delivery date moved to the 13th now.

they told me apple has reached the allowance of goods they can export negotiated with customs (out of china or into switzerland, i don't know) so it wasn't allowed on the flight since the weekend! how terrible is that!

Early this morning (April 11th) my 64G black iPad went to "Prepared for shipment". Finally....hopefully ships soon.

Well, now you can add mine to the "shipped" list. Early this morning I got the email that my iPad has shipped. Estimates delivery on the 14th.

Well of course zerox17virus got the iPad first, BUT I just checked and mine is "out for delivery"!

It was stuck in Germany till 3.33am, so I expected it moving to the depot during the day, then delivery tomorrow. I have had to rush around making sure someone was about at home..... No signs of an attempted delivery, it would be like me to have missed the damn thing!

....waiting for a phone call to says its arrived.

Yea, my shipment is in Arnhem right now, will probabaly fly on the overnight to Stockholm tonight and be out for delivery tomorrow, the biggest hurdle is actually getting the shipment from the Delivery driver, when I ordered my iPhone he neglected to call me when he saw the keypad for the building and he never bothered to read my phone number since I formatted it for international dialing.

Had a quick look and both of mine have back light bleeding. please bear in mind i only had half hour including travel time, so i need a better look at them. anyone know what apple think on the subject? one is the smallest bit of bleeding the other is nearly half the screen, I think for the price they should be faultless...

still clueless as to why they choose such grainy cameras!

otherwise very happy, cant wait to play on it tonight
