International (EU, non-US) iPad 2 Shipping Dates, 1st "Prepared for Shipment" Status!

Assuming Apple are shipping online orders in 'time zone order', are there any Kiwis who've received their shipping notification? Then Oz would have been be next followed by the UK and Canada.
Well, the question is: When did your order go into "Prepared for Shipment" state?
I don't know actually. The last time I checked on Monday it still had the original shipping date, and a 5 hours ago I got this shipment notification, though I've noticed the shipping time is slightly longer at 8 days (just checked it took 6 days for my iPhone 4 to arrive from shipment - which was also ordered as soon as it was available online).

There still seems no word about EU in particular UK orders shipping yet. It seems like both Australian and Canadian orders have started to ship already from the 25th launch date. Here's hoping UK orders start shipping soon. Reserving online is impossible and queuing up at stores is not possible when you have to work full time. I really need to get my iPad before the 21st of this month. What makes it worse is that they are being shipped direct from China and take 9 to 11 days to get here.

I hope the status will change, but I doubt it because according to a thread on the apple forum, it seems that the white iPads ship about 10 days earlier than the estimated date, and about 5 days for the black iPads.

well didn't the americans have a big long thread about iPads getting stuck in hong kong for over a week for people tho? so could still be a while yet. i did try looking for the thread, but can't be bothered to look further than yesterday lol

Hope so! Though I read somewhere that Whites are prepping 5 days before Blacks. As I have a black 64 3G on order I'm expecting to be towards the back of the queue (black + 3G seems to be the killer here - unless anyone has a better experience to share?)

Yep, grinding my gears as well. I live 90 miles from the nearest Apple Store and don't fancy trying to get a return from another retailer if I have dead pixels etc so I'm under Apples thumb for now. Not a comfortable place to be at the moment. I'm hoping for "prep" news towards the end of this week but still occasionally check my status. Twice an hour is "occasionally" right? ;-)

yeah it happend within a few hours after i ordered it, i called them and they said they will will request it to be changed or soemthign nothing has happened. they said it will take 24 hours so ill wait until tomorrow and call up again! i would like to think even though i ordered mine when it says 3-4 weeks wait ill still be ahead of people that ordered after and it said 2-3 weeks, put it this way, i better be!
Getting more excited every day. Let's hope those shippings start soon ^^
