International (EU, non-US) iPad 2 Shipping Dates, 1st "Prepared for Shipment" Status!

Damn same shipment date but in UK instead.
Why is UK so slow?
So far countries that are starting shipment are Australia, Canada and now Mexico

It's obviously not only the UK ... Whole Europe seems to face the same shipment policy
Still "not yet shipped", however I got an email from Apple stating that my iPad and its smart cover wont ship together.... Could that mean we could see that preparing status update quite soon?
I got that as well. Saying that my ipad 2 will be delivered first through a carrier and my smart cover in mail...
but tbh its been saying "Items will be shipped separately as they become available" for a long time on the order status page. I wouldn't get too hopeful. but hopefully it ships tmr because that would be already 2 week.

change the store to http://store.apple.com/us
well, just change the store from UK to US and u will see the different. but yesterday they were Not yet shipped for both stores.

There seems to a pattern in shipping dates given by apple with just a slight difference no matter where outside the US.
Following is my current order status as today nad has not changed yet and not even my credit card has been charged since the 25th for my iPad so I called apple if there was something wrong with my card but they said it will be charged until it is ready to ship.
Order placed just 20 minutes after International launch date on the 25th

The Smart Cover had the exact same dates for shipping and delivery so I am hoping it just takes 3 days for the Ipad delivery !

So, do I understand this correctly? You're saying that your order is "Prepared for Shipment" and goes to the UK???

the ideal is when u check ur Order status check it in both store because The US store get updated faster then UK store

i noticed the different this morning about 5 am uk time
Amazing. My iPad is prepared for shipment but Smart cover isn't. They both have the same Shipping estimate I was just surprise that ipad would come before it.

It seems that one carrier ships all the iPads to Europe on one specific date. It could be some days before the 15th, but he expects it to happen at the 15th since all the orders designated for this day have to be completed.
Just hope that this guy is wrong and that people who ordered the iPad 2 early, receive it early.

This sounds very much like I have experienced previous orders from Apple to Europe. They arrive in bulk and get packed in outer cardboard box (the brown generic one) somewhere in the Netherlands. That's also why we usually are not able to track our products as accurate as US customers but in the last few days of arrival...
btw mine is on Prepared for Shipment status now!

Check if you are still able to cancel yours - I bet u wont because it's prepared for shipping as well.
Better yet go check your status on the US
