according to the german hotline delivery on 14th would be like winning the lottery (I ordered within the first hour on 7th) ...

pretty much nearly everyone in this thread ordered there early on im one of them my status still says processing..dispatched ships by october 14...and on the chinese website it says shipped :S...i hope i get it this week or pre ordering the phone would be a joke if everyne get there phone instore before us.

I ordered (from Halifax, Canada) @ 2AM PST on the 7th - Ships by 14th - from store.apple.com/ca. My status hasn't changed since getting the confirmation email 3 mins after I submitted the order. Still says "processing". A little disappointed that it's been "processing" for over 4 days now.

I'm starting to believe that it will ship on the 14th and I'll receive it sometime the week after :(

Any other Canadians in the same boat? Feel the same?

Yeah. I ordered mine at 12:41am PST, pretty much as soon as the store went live. Mine's still processing too.

Given the difference in wording between the US store -- 'delivers on Fri 14' and the Canadian store -- 'ships by Fri 14' ... I always presumed us Canadians would get ours later and they'd ship them out Thu/Fri rather than actually arrive to customers Fri.

Does anybody know if Canada has a warehouse? I have read that the UK has a warehouse where they may be keeping their iPhone 4S stock... what about Canada?

Thanks!

In Ontario they operate out of Markham, however, from experience I've never received an iPhone from their Canadian warehouse (comes from the US). I've seen some incredible shipping speeds, it's completely possible for product to be shipped tomorrow from China for delivery on Friday. That said, I'm starting to think it's just not gonna happen.

I'm in the UK, ended up ordering three instead of two, couldn't cancel the 3rd so called Apple's after-sales number: lady took the call and didn't sound Indian at all, in fact she was based in Austin TX and had a Texas drawl.

Apple's call centers are a mix of several things, some are part of a contracted company, some are work-at-home, etc. Call centers are never really the best place to get information on anything, regardless of the company. The higher you got he more reliable the information will get but in the end, they're only told so much. I would take any of the information being provided by customer service reps before launch as solid information.

i think we should all just give up, and face the facts that no one will recieve their iphones this week, load of rubbish apple suckerd us into pre ordering only to find out people will be able to get it instore first :(:(:(:(

I don't think Apple "Suckered" anyone to pre-order anymore than they "Suckered" anyone into believing a redesigned iPhone 5 was going to be released. You have chosen to believe that pre-ordering gets you delivery on release day. Apple has never said that. All a pre-order entitles you too is a guaranteed unit out of the first run.

My words exactly. There are way too many people here who think they are entitled to get their phone on launch day or earlier because that what a preorder is. Maybe they are ignorant or naive or maybe they think it's their god given right that if they preorder then that's when they should get it. A preorder is never a guarantee you will get it on release day. All it is is a guarantee you will get one and in reasonable time.

you guis are right my bad i think me and a few others are used to expecting goods early once pre ordered.

Well on apple.de it clearly said "am 7. Vorbestellen, am 14 erhalten" or something similar. Which means "preorder on 7th, get it on 14th"
So yes, they promised us to get it on release day.

Well that's not what they have stated on their UK or US sites or in their key note speech. Besides Apple don't have a history of always delivering new products on launch day or earlier. It's ridiculous to expect delivery on or before launch. Not to mention it's just a product launch and not the end of the world. So what if it's delivered a few days after launch. Is it going to affect your life dramatically. Honestly !!!

I don't speak german so I can't confirm your interpretation but on the Australian site it stills says "Coming October 14th" despite pre-orders being marked with 1-2 weeks delivery. You do the math. The OCtober 14th date is a reference to release date not delivery date.

What doesn't make sense is how when the preorder time changed from "ships by October 14th" to "available in 1-2 weeks" .. Is that people who were late to order should have had THEIR orders shipped a week from october 7th (being october 14th) - not those of us who ordered within the time frame of "ships by October 14th... It doesn't make sense!

It's people who ordered to late to get in the launch stock. At some point on Friday the availability changed from the 14th to 1-2 weeks.

Im not expecting them to ship the phones before the launchdate, but if they really knew that all the phones would be shipped on 14th (and not delivered) they shouldnt state otherwise on their page.
I cant find the actual announcement as its not online anymore. Maybe it said "get it from 14th" instead of "get it on 14th". Who cares wount help us now anyway.
If the phone doesnt get here before the weekend its clearly not changing my life dramatically, but if you pay 739Euros (yes, thats 1008 Dollars) on a phone in my opinion Apple should at least try to get that thing to me asap.

What's how much you paid for it got to do with anything. Did you pay for the shipping ? No. Apple is delivering it for free. Why would you feel the need to complain because it's not getting to you by launch date or earlier. It would be a different story if you paid for express delivery shipping guaranteeing it by a certain day. I find it utterly baffling how many people on these forums are complaining about not getting it by launch day. It's just a phone for God's sake. Everyone who preordered in the first batch should get it by next week. That's all we can expect.

Mine has said: "prepared for shipment" for the last 72 hours!!

still says: delivers oct. 14, I hope it ships soon!

So my wife finally got through on the Premier phone line. She was told they have no record of the order web though we have a confirmation. According to the supervisor even if you receive a confirmation email with a confirmation number that doesn't guarantee your order. So she has no phone coming now.

Like I said - never ordering from AT&T again. I'm still going to call again in the morning in a last ditch effort to get this straightened out. But as of now it looks like Im lining up at the Apple Store Friday for her phone.

THis is for international orders, not US orders
