if i buy directly from the apple online store canada, do i really get the unlocked 16gb 4s for $650 or is there some hidden tax after?
also do they really sell it for $650 on their retail stores or $650tax?

Customs do work on the weekend. And the phones are in TNT's sydney warehouse as we speak.

Not quite. My phone, and hundreds of other Australians phones, are still in Hong Kong. Or somewhere between Hong Kong and Sydney.

It seems like the only phones in the shipment which has arrived in Sydney are those which were ordered by people in the pre-order before it ticked over to 'delivery 1-2 weeks', whereas when I ordered, it said ships by 14th... so if yours still hasn't shipped and it was supposed to have done so in the first lot, I'd be pushing for answers!
i have preordered from Apple online store Germany on 8 of October and my status was 1-2 weeks and delivered 24-31. A few minutes ago it has changed to delivered 19-26!Still processing items but we have progress!!! I 've ordered 2 iphones 4s 16gb one black and one white.
Yeah mine is still processing as well. Same model, color, and ship date. I called Apple though and said when i ordered I assumed I was getting the phone on or before release day. The guy offered me any free case i wanted for free and he changed my order for the case and phone to expedited shipping instead of standard. So now my delivery date is Oct. 21-28 instead of 24-31. You should give it a try... you dont lose anything.

My 4S's in Sydney now, hopefully can have in the early morning tomorrow.

just tried to call them but i was talking to the computer, it just told me that the iphone will arrive between oct24 to oct 31, then it hanged
I read somewhere that CDMA is only on the carrier locked phones.
When you click through to buy the unlocked phone from apple and are on the page where you are picking the colour there is a technical specifications section you can expand that says:
UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz);
GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)

I just got my iPhone 4S. Yes on a Sunday in Brisbane!!! Never had a delivery on a Sunday before but can't say I'm complaining...
Siri is 50/50 half time it doesn't work with supposed connection problems but I don't have any connection problems.

You have to actually talk to the customer representative. Just say that into the phone and it will transfer you to them. Or if i'm not mistaken you can press "0" and it will transfer you as well. Only they can make changes to your order. Good luck.
So, anyone else that ordered within seconds of the store going live still waiting for their iPhone to be delivered in Sydney, like myself?
