Huh, ok. Well I'm not to worried about it anyway - I've got a programming assignment due on Friday night anyway, and getting the phone would probably be too much of a distraction to handle lol. As long as I eventually get my phone, I'll be happy...
If you don't mind me asking, when you spoke with him, were you inquiring for expedited shipping? Or did they automatically change it for you after your call?

I had called to inquire about upgrading my shipping since a family member is anxiously awaiting my husband's 3Gs, so it's important that I get my 4S ASAP once shipped. The rep said that there was no way he would be able to upgrade my shipping while my order was processing, but to call back when I get shipping confirmation and someone could upgrade it immediately. After the call I checked my order status and it was changed from Standard to Expedited.
Lucky you!!! I will try to give apple a call tomorrow... I am anxiously waiting for my phone and would love to have expedited shipping.. thanks for your info!

Hey, I ordered slightly late (8th October, 64GB black) so I got the 1-2 week shipping delay. Thats fine.
But why is my expected delivery date not till the second week of November. Thats four weeks after I ordered and two weeks after expected dispatch.
Do they give the longest possible expected delivery so they wont be late, and hopefully just deliver early? It cant possibly take two weeks to ship to Melbourne

Montrealer here...ordered a 16GB White pretty much within minutes of the opening...still processing, no expedited.
If it doesn't change from 'Processing' to at least 'Preparing for Shipment' by tomorrow morning, i will be spewing!

In Vancouver, BC as well, and ordered just as the Apple store went live. Ordered a Black 16GB. Still showing as Processing. I did check the apple.com.cn store, and it said "Shipped", and "delivery by October 14th" but no shipping info.

Can you read Chinese or did you use Google Translate like the other guy? Because I know Google Translate translates it wrongly. My one doesn't say shipped or show any form of a delivery date, and no one outside of the USA have had any luck beyond "Processing".
Take a screenshot of the page untranslated and let me take a look. I can understand Chinese.

Those in Vancouver, are you guys using the reservation system through the providers? I reserved the 16GB Black one and was given a reservation number, but I don't know if that reservation number applied to the national stock level or local stock level. Anyone wanna clarify?

I'm starting to think that Apple aren't going to let us track the iPhones from China this year. I think they are going to ship all the iPhones to their distribution warehouses in the countries where they are being delivered before we see any change on the website. I'm guessing they won't get there until tomorrow or Thursday. Once they get there they will be send out with next day delivery for delivery on Thursday/Friday.
Fingers crossed. I ordered the latest MacBook air on release day and it arrived the next day (or the day after) shipped from a local distribution centre. With the more compact size of the UK (compared to the US), it makes sense to ship them to one point and then split them when they get here I suppose.
Ordered mine as soon as the store came up and still got the "Processing" status too.
All international orders will change to "preparing to ship" on Thursday, and "shipped" Friday - when they'll also be delivered.
