Yay! This is going to be awesome. You guys will cover so many great topics. By the way. I love the Macarumors Logo too. I will definitely be listening in my car now.

Can’t wait! This is going to be so much fun. Already rated 5/5 😇

Thank you and keep up the good work!

LOL, I never give reviews or ratings BEFORE I see, hear, or experience the thing.

But I am wishing you all good luck and success on this endeavor, and I will listen/watch at least the first couple episodes!

That’s GarageBand right? Can I still do that on GarageBand? Maybe I’ll give it a try and see if I can make a podcast too. I’ve always wanted to have a radio show, but with copyrighted music, which sadly is not within my reach.

By the way, thanks for such a cool clip from Steve, I didn’t know it.

Yup, that’s GarageBand. I believe some of the podcast functionality was removed at some point.

So a podcast that covers what's already been posted here (and elsewhere)?

If I was really interested in the latest news and rumors, I'd rather read it. I'll be able to read and skim through them in less time than listening to a (hour long?) podcast.
Some people may prefer to listen to it, rather than read it. On a walk, run, commute for the sight-impaired?

Looking forward to it. I find the mods here to be far more nuanced in their thinking and far less sycophantic than the morons on Gadgetcast, the vacuous iJustine, major-league butt-kisser Rene Ritchie and their ilk.

Oh, and rating anything ahead of experiencing it fully is laughably idiotic. Just my $0.02.

Hope the podcast goes well!

I don’t know about this… how much can you really talk about rumours before it just gets really repetitive and boring. (And we are already at that point for the most part.) The quick articles are nice to read, but even then they quickly become repetitive. There is only so much Apple stuff…

Oh, how fun! Thanks for continuing to develop the site and offerings to keep things fresh. A podcast would be a pretty significant commitment for most, but you guys have done fantastic with all the video production. I am sure it will be awesome! Looking forward to calling in a question someday, “Long time listener, first time caller”.

Happy New Year and thanks for all that you all do for us.

So do people here not listen to any Apple related podcasts like The Talk Show, Connected, ATP, Upgrade? I enjoy them and I like that they’re opinionated even though they sometimes have Apple employees as guests.

Yeah. This site does NOT need to become Apple Insider II. I gave up on that site due to their endless “deals” posts, intrusive videos, and selective refusal to wrangle certain hostile jerks in the comments.
This is pretty much word for word a description of Macrumors.

Yup I listen to all those, minus connected. They all have distinct viewpoints. I'll try this one and see what I think. This site was my OG go-to apple news/rumor source from 14 years ago.

If their talking style is anything like the writing style, it's gonna be a difficult listen. "And today were going to talk about the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max made by Apple Inc and discuss all the features that Apple could potentially include in the new upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and other features that Apple might include in their Apple..."

Ooohh, shiny. We going back to skeuomorphic?

If you're ever in last-minute desperate need of a guest host @jclo, hit me up! My only credential is that I wrote for 9to5Mac for a short time way back in college, lol. Though I like to think that I'm well spoken and knowledgeable about a lot of tech in general, especially Apple.

I've considered starting a podcast myself, and have the proper audio equipment, but I've always thought I needed a cohost and my tech friends haven't shown much interest. It would focus on Apple, photography, and gaming, sprinkled with general tech news, science news (mostly space-related) and a healthy dose of informed speculation about the future. Where I feel like I typically excel is in seeing the bigger picture and how everything all comes together, so I'd like to present it through that lens.

Of those, only ATP has stuck around.

They have great bookmarks and a good set of viewpoints amongst the 3 of them

I'll give it a try. Not sure how i'll feel if its them just discussing what's already on here. Everything deserves a chance.
The big thing for me, is I do like listening to podcasts when traveling in a car, so I can see the advantage there if I’m on the road for the day for work related purposes.

But if I’m at home or in leisure, I’d rather skim through an article versus listen to an extended podcast. So it really depends on my environment.

But I agree, everything deserves a chance, especially when it to start a project like this.

I welcome this, but i usually read the comments after I read the story, it would be nice to respond to some of the comments. But like some other person, I rather read it. In my situation I’m on Macrumors.com everyday at least five times a day. So the podcast might be already a redundant to me. But I’m sure others can listen to it while driving. Just make sure you date stamp each story, so we know it’s not yesterday’s because I already read the story. Great idea thanks.
