I’ve stopped listening to all podcasts about Apple since I feel they become kind of redundant and more about the hosts (Looking at you ATP) than Apple stuff. Don’t really think what Apple is currently doing is as exciting as the products and possibilities was say 5-6 years ago, either. Not a critique just the markets have saturated and the iPhone and the iPad are good enough for the vast majority. Anyway might give this a shot and see if its anything fresh to a rather dull podcast space (imo).

Yay! This is going to be awesome. You guys will cover so many great topics. By the way. I love the Macarumors Logo too. I will definitely be listening in my car now.

Can’t wait! This is going to be so much fun. Already rated 5/5 😇

Thank you and keep up the good work!

Yes, it's going to be awesome.

So a podcast that covers what's already been posted here (and elsewhere)?

If I was really interested in the latest news and rumors, I'd rather read it. I'll be able to read and skim through them in less time than listening to a (hour long?) podcast.
Why? What if you had to travel somewhere, and you couldn't read anything. It comes in handy. Podcasts are for people who may wake up early and have to leave for work. It's also for people who don't want to read.

While it’s impossible not to agree with your perfectly sensible argument… Come on, the guy/gal is clearly super excited, let him/her enjoy the moment! There’ll be time enough for down rating them if the podcast is not that good.
Exactly, this podcast was literally just released. Why are people already saying good and bad things about it? I'm completely sure they will post more podcasts in the future too. Let's wait on our opinions.

Love this and 100% going to listen.
I only have 1 tiny request........... :)
Please try and not have guests on that are soooooooooooooooooo fanatical about Apple that it's just annoying listerning to them.
I'm sure we all know a few big name YouTube people who may as well work for Apple given they will never say anything even remotely negative about anything.
Genuine people who give balanced and honest viewpoints are the most enjoyable by far. :)

I am nearly there with you.

Maybe it’s just because I’ve gotten older and I have seen a lot of things under the sun at this point, but I just don’t find much of anything Apple is doing lately to be praiseworthy.

The majority of the hardware stuff is basically trying to get back to where they should’ve been about six years ago before getting off course. It’s nice to finally see them doing their own chips but I don’t need to talk about that over and over again other than when new stuff gets released.

I guess you can sign up to just listen to (justified) complaints about all their services, software bugs, and other weird behavior here and there but it just isn’t that interesting eventually.

Does MR plan to differentiate this podcast from the many other Apple themed ones?

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but just wondering if this subject matter isn't already oversaturated.

Of those, only ATP has stuck around.

They have great bookmarks and a good set of viewpoints amongst the 3 of them
I like Upgrade. I think Jason Snell and Myke Hurley tell it like it is when it comes to Apple. In fact I think Jason is sometimes more willing to criticize Apple than John Gruber is. He’s taken Apple to task over the company trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of the App Store. Gruber pretty much defends Apple on most of that and defends them treating iOS devices as a consoles and not computers.

I’m not a huge ATP fan because they spend way too much time picking nits.

I tried to listen to podcasts but most are too boring. I'm down to only 2 podcasts, Quirks & Quarks and Fresh Air. Everything else is...blah blah blah blah blah

You guys should have this person on to host a segment called Weird Hot Takes.

I'm old school so I prefer reading about something rather than listen to a voice explain it. If I read it I can go back and easily confirm what I read; not so much with audio. Especially bad is when some podcasters (pod people?) begin trying to inject their stand-up comedy skills. Sorry boys, it isn't funny; not at all.
