Seems that's your response to everyone replying to you. I feel like maybe you need someone to hold your hand through this traumatizing event. Or maybe just curl up in a ball and cry? That's about the only other thing I can think of to help you. God's speed, Sir.

I am BLOWN AWAY that people here still upgrade when Apple releases something new.

Apple has been bricking devices for years now.

Keynote is finally usable after years of painful crashing.

Are people here hypnotized in some way?

What am I missing?

Wow, you are blown away when a device manufacturer releases an update and people, gasp, update??

I did the update through iTunes on my iPhone 6s and it worked just fine. However, now my phone is slow, much warmer to the touch than normal, and stuff keeps crashing. Widgets in particular consistently crashes. Also, just went into the App store and the 'Update All' button doesn't do anything.

I wish people would stop incorrectly using the term 'bricked'. The term 'bricked' should only be used when a device is completely unservicable, ie. needs to be returned to manufacturer or sole remaining use is a paper weight.

If a device can be restored, it is not 'bricked'.

Has anyone else noticed that Apple just plain sucks now?

IUP fail; iOS10 OTA fail; Kaby Lake fail; Mac Pro fail; soldered RAM fail; headphone jack fail; MacBook keyboard fail; adapter fail...

My 6s bricked and it will not allow me to restore from an iTunes download (I have the latest iTunes update). Looks like I have to full restore now because of Apple's inadequacy. Absolutely ridiculous. I might go Android next time I get a phone based on all of these issues Apple is having lately.

If you download iTunes 12.5.1, it should tell you the update failed and it'll ask you if you want to update, restore, or cancel. Select the update button. My wife was able to get iOS 10 this way AND keep all of her settings using update rather than restore.

My wife had a iPhone running 9.3.5 that bricked using over the air and the above steps got her up and running.

I'm hoping once this slow iTunes update is done it'll be okay and clicking "update" will work for me.One of my friends did it all and it still doesn't work so she's about to restore.this all sucks so much :/

My 6s got temporarily bricked by upgrading to iOS 10 as well. Well done Apple, great job with your QA as always lately! I guess all your work on new emojis keeping you busy. Remember the times when updates worked without any issues? I almost don't.

Yes, that's what did it. Spending time working on Emojis.

Amazing what people believe.

So the device Apple spends millions on advertising as the only computer you'll ever need, iPad Pro, won't in fact work at all without a 'real' computer thanks to Apples usual s**t poor iOS quality control.

Think I'll wait before updating my 'Pros', change your perception of what a computer is indeed Apple...

Surface Pro 4 can restore an iPad Pro. That's what separates a real Pro tablet vs a fake Pro tablet.

My iPad Pro just worked OTA. 12.1". Not trying my 6+. No access to a cpu. I am one of the people who have been trying to use the iPad Pro as a main work horse.

started downloading the update within minutes after it was released but it still hasn't been fully downloaded. How do I cancel the download and download a fresh copy before it bricks my phone?

  1. Open the Settings app and go to “General”
  2. Choose “Storage & iCloud Usage”
  3. Go to “Manage Storage”
  4. Locate the iOS software update that is nagging you and tap on it.
  5. Tap on “Delete Update” and confirm that you want to delete the update
