I was on 9.3.5 and OTA still requires me to plug into iTunes.I wonder how many of us did not update to iOS 9.3.5 and if that us the cause?
I've always done OTA updates since they became available, and never had any issues. But I'm still running an iPhone 4, so it's been a while since I've applied any major updates.An iPad 3 that I maintain has always had flawless updates, too.
I hope I'm this lucky.Happened on my iPhone SE 64 GB (Verizon) and was able to fix it via iTunes restore within 15 minutes. My 128 GB iPad Air 2 (wifi) did not experience the brick breaker effect
