Y'all better back that ass up!!
The new iOS 10 update, released today, appears to be causing problems for some iPad and iPhone owners who are installing it over-the-air. On the MacRumors forums, we're seeing multiple reports from users who have attempted to install iOS 10 and have had their devices put into recovery mode, requiring a restore.

It does not seem to be limited to a single device, but most reports from iPad owners are coming from those who have the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which has had trouble with new software releases in the past. Multiple iPhone models also appear to be affected. From MacRumors forum member bit_bucket: Users who have their iOS 10 devices bricked by the update may need to do an iTunes restore if the update fails, which will erase all data. Some users have had their iPhones updated successfully and haven't needed to restore, but it has failed for other users. Here's the message users are receiving:In light of the installation issues some users are facing, those who are concerned about their devices being sent into recovery mode and bricked should hold off on downloading the iOS 10 update for the time being until more information can be uncovered. A backup before installing is also recommended.

Mario ain't moronic though, he's a plumber with a secret double life.It happens because the super-rich execs continue to get richer regardless of how poorly the customers get treated. They just don't give a monkeys that our time is wasted or data lost. Having just pranced around last week on stage taking over two hours to announce bugger all they release buggy os updates. Oh, but heh, at least when it does eventually get fixed (after we spend hours sussing out a way to fix the problem) we can play a moronic mario video game. Boy, have they got their priorities right.
Problem wasn't there with the GM betaJeezus...this is the last thing Apple needs right now. WTF is going on in Cupertino---didn't the software update problems going back to 8.0 teach them anything?
Glad I'm running the GM version of the public beta updated last week.
Update iTunes. On iPad Mini 4 I try to upgrade to iOS 10, I wait 18 minutes while upgrade download, then iPad goes into recovery mode, plug into iTunes and I wait for another download, and I end up back in iOS 9. Infinite loop. Tried four times.
No problem with iPhone 6s plus.
I've already downloaded the "new Software" twice and attempting to Update doesn't help. Iphone 6s.Another iPhone SE here that failed to update, people really need to stop saying 'bricked'. iTunes is currently downloading the new Software...although that's going to take another 30 minutes.
Update: using iTunes updat fixed my phone now on iOS 9.3.5My 6S+ Bricked in recovery mode on my MacBook now.
Not going to do my iPad Pro for a few days though!
