Exhibit A why I still stick with iOS over Android. Android hardware is great, but with iOS, at least I don't have to wait 6 months for the carrier to be kind enough to release it.

Your right waiting a year from the company that's making it is so much better since you get it right away /s

Did you not read what I posted, or the article? Nothing about it coming today is mentioned. Only June 18th date.

When it comes to press releases, the "date" of the press release serves as the availability date of referenced topics. Unless explicitly stated otherwise.

I write press releases for a company that is almost as big as Apple :)

Apple has given plenty of press releases in the past in which it states "starting later today" Or "later today". That is completely absent in this release.

Someone else correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is false. iMessage in iCloud is more or less moving Messages from being stored on your phone to being stored in iCloud, as well as a streamlined way to sync messages across devices.

For example, currently when I open my MacBook Pro, I usually get a few old iMessages that come through that I already read/replied to elsewhere (i.e. on my iPhone). iMessage in iCloud will fix this.

Also there is the benefit of less storage space taken up on your device, as Messages will be saved in iCloud instead of on-device. You will also not lose your old iMessages when switching phones or getting a new phone.

I'd wager with about 99% certainty that it's going to almost be exactly like how Photos currently works.

The Verge are pretty adamant that it’s today in their article - and it’s written by their editor.

While I understand that, the verge article was based on the buzzfeed article originally. I like concrete facts and not a hype train.

I'm sure a site as big as The Verge would have taken down their article by now if there weren't absolutely sure it was coming today. It's not like their some spam site trying to get clicks so they echo other news sites as quickly as possible.

With all due respect, maybe you should read the Verge article properly.

I quote:

But AirPlay 2 is here now, and Apple tells me the two biggest specific changes are a bigger buffer... (etc.)

He’s obviously been briefed directly by Apple PR. And he seems to be sure that 11.4 is launching today. So...

Ya exactly as I mentioned in the other thread apples using of the word “now” can only suggest a release now. Not tomorrow or not on day 1 of WWDC otherwise that article is confusing for those who google Airplay 2 and come across it

Agreed. BTW, I was originally trying to reply to someone who stated that iMessage in iCloud only brought the ability to iMessage from any device via the iCloud website, which I've read is false but I could be wrong.

It literally says May 29, 2018 on the Apple website!

OK, you keep second guessing.. I'll download 11.4 in about an hour and a half and let you know how it is :)
The date you keep referencing is the article date. Which I dont see why is so complicated to figure that out. When articles are published, they have a publishing date. For one that writes press releases you should be aware of this.

Buzzfeed started all this today with zero proof. I dont understand why asking for actual proof is this huge deal and everyone is freaking out.

Can someone explain how iMessage in cloud will work if you have 2 iPhones, both logged into same main iCloud, but iMessage (on one phone) logged into a different appleid?

Well you will keep waiting because its 2.5 hours, not 1.5. The date you keep referencing is the article date. Which I dont see why is so complicated to figure that out. When articles are published, they have a publishing date. For one that writes press releases you should be aware of this.

Release time is 10am PST/1pm EST. That's 75 minutes from now bro... which is less than 1.5 hours...
