Proper filesystem please.

APFS is a proper file system.

iOS has a file system, you guys.

Make Apple Music it's own app and give us back a "local" music app. At least make a setting to to "disable iCloud music" and make the Music app behave like it used to before AM, if AM is disabled.

While they're at it, bring back the old "local" Videos app as well.

I want Apple to stop assuming I want everything I've ever purchased, and only media I've purchased through them, on my device.

iOS 10 is completely bug free by now...

I know you are joking, but I will mention it anyway:

Preferred language order (in Language & Region settings) has not been working on iOS 10 from day one. I have filled multiple bug reports about this, but they all were closed since apparently Apple is aware of the issue.

Basically, iOS defaults interface language to whatever language that you put on top of preferred language order. Thus - it is not possible to have the device in English, but have all the apps default to another language (like transit maps app to German when you are in Germany, or Russian when you are in Russia etc.) As of now - this future is completely useless, since it basically duplicates interface language setting. Most apps default to iOS interface language with no option of selecting the one you want. You are pretty much stuck with everything in English, including local names, navigation directions that are pronounced completely wrong etc.

I am shocked that Apple did not fix this yet. Something is telling me it will never get fixed in iOS 10.

"iOS 11 - get ready for some new bugs on top of the old ones."

I was excited to hear about a personal version of Siri that would keep track of my stuff and would better cater to each individual use case rather than be a general assistant. I want an assistant like in the movie Her (dumb I know).

Not joking and I don't have this bug.

I wouldn't mind an updated predictive text engine at all, something smarter. I can't stand when I'm typing a sentence and iOS suggests a name from my contacts (even though the word typed wasn't capitalized).

Also, when suggesting words the system will suggest the longer, more "complex" word it thinks you want first. To me, that logic seems misguided.

This isn’t a bug, it is intended behaviour and well-documented. The list indicates which languages you accept in apps and on websites in case your first choice is not available. What you want is proper multilingual support in iOS.

Push notifications for GMail. I can't think of anything else important, honestly.

Nothing is stopping Google from providing this. It was a deliberate decision by them to remove this.

The file management should be much improved...

The way that we pas files from iphone to mac with itunes it´s totally counterintuitive

You missed the most important one; iCloud Messages Library.

Syncing iMessage/SMS/MMS to iCloud would make it much more stable. One truth, for all your connected devices. Be it you haven't logged in on your Mac for a while or you're installing a new device, you always get your entire messages history.

I'm sure that with that integration, all media sent to you via messages could possibly be automatically transferred to your iCloud Photo Library, making it so you can access it via Photos app.

The problem with this is that it defeats the end-to-end encryption of iMessage. Uploading them to iCloud means that your decryption key has to be stored with iCloud too, unless Apple changes the authentication method on iCloud as a whole.

This doesn't seem like it would require a tremendous amount of effort from Apple. It's been done, but there is surely and always room for improvement.

- Touch ID for locking apps - Third-party developers can use Touch ID as a second layer of security for locking iOS apps, but some users would like to see this feature expanded to encompass all apps. The option to lock apps like Photos with Touch ID would prevent them from being accessed without a fingerprint or a password even if someone bypassed an iPhone passcode

This!

So you can handover your iPhone to someone without that person being able to access everything on your phone.

Ah, WWDC. That one time of year when we have a chance to see updates that usually don't come - like iCloud storage being shared for families, or increasing the iCloud storage tiers, or getting access to Apple News in Canada, or some other significant update that they would never release at any other time of the year...

Such is the tough question. Would be so nice to have truly synced messages across all devices, but at the cost of complete privacy. Quite impressive how it works now, but I hope they find a way to improve it.

I really hope Apple makes the music app and lock screen 'now playing' song interface the same in iOS 11. It absolutely drives me nuts that the track slider, volumn slider, and RW/pause/FF buttons are located at the bottom of the screen in the music app, but at the top of the screen on the lock screen.

Trying to one hand the music controls with a 7 Plus from the lock screen is cumbersome.

Can the slide to unlock come back?
It is easy, intuitive and much faster than anything available to unlock the phone in iOS 10 when having a wet finger!

It'd also be really nice to be able to temporarily disable TouchID, at least while headphones are in. It doesn't work well when you're wet/sweaty.

The way I can sometimes get it to work is if I slide my thumb/finger down onto the sensor, then halt it. It seems to let it work with a damp finger more frequently like that than just placing it.

iOS needs something to pull me away from Android for sure, to me, iOS is, ironically too counterintuitive or maybe restrictive or too oversimplified. It tends to get in my way or hinder me.

It's like missing something. But honestly I'm not the target audience for iDevices and iOS.

- better multitasking would be nice as well

I think the iPhone UI is fairly focused and works well for me daily. However, I refuse to buy an iPad until they differentiate it more. Split screen and PIP video is a step in the right direction but they need to add multi-user accounts if they want it to truly be the computer of the future. Poweruser features are also a must for, at least, the Pro line. There is no reason we don't have a better way to manage files while keeping the OS as secure as it is. Right now I don't have a reason to use an iPad over my iPhone 6 Plus. If I want a larger screen experience then I hop on the MacBook. Give me a good reason to use an iPad over a MacBook Apple.

Bought a cheap $20 waterproof Bluetooth speaker with buttons partly because of that. Now I just make sure my Up Next list is what I want for the next 30 minutes or so.

And yet they somehow forgot the single most important missing item:

Complete overhaul of the Springboard. It is outdated and has been around without much innovation at all since the original iPhone.
