I use Notes daily for, well note taking. Palm rejection is not working on my iPad Pro. Anyone else? When trying to write with the pencil the screen is registering my palm which causes the screen to jump around or open the keyboard. Can’t use notes without something between my hand and the screen.

Is it just me or is the animation when swiping up an app to go back to the home screen different. There’s something about the icon that seems different. Anyone noticing this?

Edit: It’s like a zoom effect.

I’ve noticed it too on my iPad. I thought I was just seeing things.

I realize it has been less than 24 hours, but the battery drain on my Iphone 6 seems way above normal. Most of that I attribute to the huge ~2.3gb download, updating from Mondays unexpected final install, despite still having the beta profile installed. After this huge update the device was very warm and went from 100% when I started the download, to ~50% when it finished installing.
At my dinner hour at work I had time only to charge to 50%, as it was down to ~30%, in about 3 hours. I was shocked when I got home from work to see it down to ~35%, with almost no phone use and I always run the device in battery saving mode, except when downloading new IOS beta updates.
I don't think I have ever hard reset the device in the ~1 1/2 I have had it, since my son gave it to me the day when the Iphone 8 was released. I erased it and installed IOS 11 and have been on betas, since then.
I have always believed that a hard reset can corrupt data, based on years of working on PC's for friends and family.
I just rebooted and will see how it goes from here in the next 24hrs.

I’m on the new beta, I haven’t got access to the new tv app, but can’t download the old videos app neither?

Translation for text on picture: For this app there are specific functions needed that are currently not available on this device.
You don‘t download first party apps. They‘re always on your device, the App Store download button only unhides/enables them again (uninstalling equals hiding and removing hooks for e.g. map opening).

You probably can‘t enable the videos app again cause it‘s gone with 12.3 in your country (replaced by the TV app). They probably haven‘t enabled the TV app store page for your country.

AirPod 2 quality seems rubbish in this version. Constant interference

Did anyone test Apple Pay/Wallet if it shows where your transactions are in Maps?

It is working for Amex, which is listing your last several transactions just below the image of the card when you select it in Wallet (even transactions that occurred before 12.3). Tap a transaction and part of the detail that comes up is a map of where it occurred. Not so for Visa, which is not showing any transactions at all.

This probably has been in for years. I tried Apple Pay with a throwaway credit card here (when it launched late last year) and it showed the exact name of the place I used it at including a map pin.

Don‘t think this is new. It‘s probably down to the individual credit card suppliers from
enabling transaction history?

Is it the one that they gave users in China but nowhere else in one of the 12.1.x releases?

I don’t think so. I don’t even know how to explain it but something is definitely different with the zoom effect when swiping up to go to the home screen.

Yes! Unfortunately, I can absolutely confirm this bug is present in this beta. I installed on my 2018 3rd gen 12.9" iPad Pro and Palm Rejection was a total disaster with the Pencil. I'd definitely hold off until that bug is fixed for any iPad Pro users.

I'm restoring 12.2 as we speak.

Can I ask something stupid that just came to mind? If iOS13 is supposed to have that general redesign why would they bother tweaking animations now? The new TV icon is understandable since it introduces a new service and it will probably stay like that in iOS13 too,but why would they bother with closing apps if in 3 months they introduce something different?

Yup, it's broken and I need it so restoring to 12.2

It’s all a work in progress…not to mention iOS 13 will most likely drop support for a decent chunk of devices currently supported by iOS 12 so they want to get things as useable, as functional, and as bug-free as possible before that happens.

Who's to say they can't continue using that animation with this supposed redesign? Surely we're still going to be transitioning from inside applications to some sort of application management interface.

This supposed „redesign“ is for ipads. Not for iphones. Visual overhaul for iphones will be a dark mode but no homescreen update or something else. I think we will maybe see a new notification and control center.

But I really hope I‘m wrong

That's not what I've gathered. The iPad interface just got a redesign with it's floating dock and whatever else they added/changed with iOS 11 (I don't have an iPad).

Thats not a redesign. They did the new dock and control center because of the new iphones. Vice versa, iphones users in ios 13 will see a new control center and/or notification center because ipad gets a new one, because of the redesign. And dark mode of course. But I‘ve heard we see that in ios 13.1 or so, not in the 13 final.

Lets see. I would love a TOTAL redesign on iphones. A more modern ui.
