On the offchance you’re being serious ... iOS 13 is in beta after WWDC and won’t be released until September.Oddly, I’m unable to update to this. I’m getting “iOS 12.3.1 - you’re up to date”...
Is apple telling us to remove facebook?

Moving the updates to the profile is a horrible move. Arcade should either be under the games tab, or in a separate app.
That's what we call a QOL (quality of life) update. For sure some devs are going to complain, but at this stage, are their apps really used?
Now one feature that has been requested for a long time is the "delete cache" of specific apps. Some of them already allow to do it, as far as I know, but it should be a system-wide, mandatory feature for all apps approved by the AppStore.
Because you know, apps like Facebook or Messenger take a lot of space after a while. At the moment you can delete the app while keeping your cached info, so when you download it again it's working as usual. Why can't the opposite be true? Sometimes I want to keep using the app, but not its 500 MB use. Let's start fresh again.
But instead, the VPN provider got all your activities. That's why you should always use a VPN of some sort. I have NordVPN proxy in my web-browser, and have always-on VPN on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. The VPN helps you being protected from man-in-the-middle attacks as well.
In iOS 13 and iPadOS, Apple has added a new way to delete apps from your device right from the App Store.
When you're updating apps on your phone, or viewing apps that were recently updated, you can swipe left on any app in the list to bring up a "Delete" option.

Tapping on delete brings up the standard app deletion interface, where you can confirm the app's deletion or select the cancel option.
The option to delete apps right from the App Store is a convenient way to get rid of unwanted apps as soon as you see them, without the need to leave the App Store, hunt down the app's icon, and remove it that way as was necessary in prior versions of iOS.
Apple has moved the app update interface in iOS 12 to make room for Apple Arcade. The new Apple Arcade tab replaces the prior Update tab to provide easy access to the upcoming gaming service.

You can now access app updates by tapping on your profile picture at the top of the App Store and scrolling down to the Pending Updates section, which also houses a list of recent updates.

They need to add the ability to permanently delete apps from your app store account. Not just hide them. There's too much junk you try, hate and will never use again. Also free apps for financial institutions or service providers you no longer use. It's always made me weary of what apps I even try. Since I can't just permanently remove them.
I recall reading once that you can call them to get something removed. That is way to convoluted.
Come to think of it, you’re absolutely right! Weekly updates and yet no improvements.Love this, facebook and the like use the updates as more of an ad to say ‘look we’re still here!’ when updating very little... perhaps it’ll make then think twice now
I am so sorry, I updated my original post, this is not possible :/ Apple should really address this.
I just turn on Private Browsing and continue viewing articles.
Try https://startpage.com -- it's private Google search.
You actually can, it’s a bit hidden. Go to the App Store —> Updates —> Click on your account (your picture in the upper right corner) —> Purchases and swipe over the app you want to hide.
This. Especially with how unreliable auto-updates seem to be.Moving the updates to the profile is a horrible move. Arcade should either be under the games tab, or in a separate app.
That's far from the truth... A VPN may only provide added security if you use foreign WiFi or if the VPN provider has a firewall feature that you can tweak to your needs. That's why you should always use a VPN of some sort. This won't take you to the folder but you can find what folder it is in by doing a spotlight search for the app name. The folder name shows up on the right.
I specifically said not just hide them. I'm aware of the ability to hide. I would like the ability to delete.
