No sure anyone has experienced this but when I make a phone call using my AirPods I cannot hear anything. It’s says they are connected but I get nothing. I switch to speaker until I get sound (there is a couple second delay) then I switch back to my AirPod Pro and then I can hear again thru them. The most recent time I had this issue I was listening to a podcast and then went straight to calling out a phone call and the volume went out.

Same issue. Very annoying. Hopefully this is fixed in next beta release.

Many, many here have had same issue and Apple is aware, as they asked me for Bluetooth logs (which gives you some idea what they think the culprit is).

Of course, since they did that and i installed the Bluetooth logging profile, it doesn’t happen any more.

Not sure if this is b4 related or not.
IPP 11 G2 on b4 on an Apple MK (Magic Keyboard).

If I plug the power cable into the MK and charge the IPP, it charges at the same rate or close and plugging it directly into the IPP. This is when the IPP is at rest.

If I plug the power cable into the MK and charge the IPP, it charges at a significantly lower rate than when plugging it directly into the IPP. This is when the IPP is in use.

Perhaps someone who tested / noticed this under 13 or in a prior beta can comment?

In guessing that when you’re using it, the keyboard is drawing from the external power rather than from the iPad. Backlighting, etc

Help! Suddenly, with the new beta, my AirPods Pro lose all audio as soon as a phone call connects. The call timer keeps going, but I have no ear or mic audio--and I can't use the on-screen menu to switch the audio back to the iPhone. If I call the person back without my AirPods, all is fine--and the other person confirms they had only silence on the prior call.

I searched on Reddit, and some people experienced something similar with earlier betas, and solved it by turning off "Sound Recognition" in Accessibility. It is, however, already off.

Any suggestions? THANK YOU.

Thanks for detailing this bug, I didn‘t know the cause at first. Resetting airpods pro did no good but it seems not to happen with my normal airpods, hopefully fixed in beta 5, nasty bug.

My call voice has become worse. Not able to hear clearly. Big frustration after beta installation.

I have just installed the Beta.

The Photos widget; do the photos change by themselves at all? I can only seem to have one image displaying which is the first photo in the first 'For You' memory album.

Not in this case (cases). I think.
I was predominately reading (pdf/kindledocs) or watching TV (SpectrumTV) with little to no keyboard interaction.
Then again, not sure how much power the kb pulls in standby.

Good thought though - thx

Weird yesterday my SE2020 wouldn't connect to CarPlay and the charge kept going on and off. Tried without the battery case and a restart or the iPhone and car, but nothing helped. Didn't get to hard restart or beyond because I had to get to work. Didn't do anything to try to troubleshoot while at work, but when I came out to leave work and tried, it worked fine.

yes, they change every so often. The widget will have a timeline by which it switches photos. No way to change it (yet).

Cheers.

Since posting, it has cycled a couple of times but only through the same two photos/memories.

Be cool when you can select an album for it to cycle through and how often it refreshes

it bounced between the ‘featured’ ones and the ‘memories’ ones.

Had an issue today when I received a call from a non contact...iPhone 11 did not ring, but series 4 Apple Watch running WatchOS 7 had the haptic response and I could answer the call on the watch.

I have not read through all 23 pages, but is this common on DB4?

I have put the SIM back into my Xs Max running 13.6 so I don't miss calls.

Thanks in advance for help!

I've not seen anyone report that or had it happen.

I definitely get a good rotation. What bugs me is that I can’t see them full size by tapping on the widget.
Some photos seem to have been added to my ‘featured photos’ overnight. Getting a better rotation today

Had my first serious disappearing keyboard event. Occurred when I was trying to share an article from the Stocks app via Messages. Ended up having to copy the link to the story and going into Messages directly. Is Share Sheet interaction where others are experiencing this? Wondering out loud if this is related to the issue where I attempt to select photos to share using Tapatalk or Twitter and there are few, if any photos available to select and those that are available have blank thumbnails. Some sort of memory issue, perhaps?

yep it also happens to me when I try to share a screenshot, no matter if iMessage or WhatsApp. Usually the keyboard disappears mid sentence and cannot be brought back

RAM management is horrible on my XS Max this beta.
That’s exactly my main issue. Just switching apps often requires the app to reload. It’s acting as of very short of ram

did you figure out any particular cause (a bad app)? Most likely it’s core os memory management. First beta for me that’s been a bad one

And then add in the odd photo selector issues. Most times I start to compose a tweet the interface asks me if I want to select more photos or stick with the current selection. Problem is: I haven’t selected ANY photos.

And then there’s the missing photos issue that occurs while posting on Twitter and Tapatalk. If I do want to include photos, the selector only displays 2. I assure you, Apple, that there are more than 2 photos on my phone!

[I can’t even post the screenshot of the issue because it is not showing in the 2 photos i’m alleged to only have on my phone ]

It could be because you had probably allowed Twitter and Tapatalk to access only those 2 photos in beta 1 when this functionality was introduced. I had a similar issue and had totally forgotten about this and was wondering the same some time back. Took me a while to figure it out. Might be worth checking Settings > Twitter > photos. If ‘selected photos’ is enabled, then you can ‘edit selected photos’ and allow Twitter to access more photos.
