Also, stop dumbing it down. Background multitasking time limit used to be 7 minutes with iOS <=6, down to 3 minutes for iOS 7 thru 12 and now 30 seconds for iOS 13.

Tim Cook and Apple like to make things worse for the customer. Opting for the proprietary connector that isn't better than an open standard like the M.2 form factor.

Apple can come up with a proprietary battery that's worse than lithium-ion.

I always wondered why Apple doesn't have a wallpaper database built right into the wallpaper picker in the Settings.app.

Always updating. huge collection. catergorized. in the cloud.

Is wallpaper really a big deal when it gets covered up by the grid of icons? :p

The worst is when people put pictures of their kids as their wallpaper... yet you can barely see it. You might see little Sally's face peeking out from behind the Facebook icon.

If we could place icons anywhere... then I could see people getting excited about wallpaper!

What's your wallpaper? A solid color?

If we could get Live Tiles like we had on Windows 10 Mobile (or the Win10 Start screen) I would be very, very happy.
Live tile are awful irritating and an unnecessary battery drain !

What’s an app drawer?

Normally a drawer that holds all the apps so they don't clutter the home screens. Android has that so you swipe up from the home screen to see all the apps. it basically allows you to utilize the home screens for widgets mostly.

That is definitely not true. Many can't afford an iPhone, and own lower spec models. Not everyone runs around with high end Samsungs and Huaweis.

Or the real reason is to ask how much phone do you need to run the apps you have and use? That's the real question. I know and have seen many that can afford iPhones but just don't buy them because if a cheaper phone can run what they need just the same then that's all that matters to them. Alot also don't care about the extra features like cameras and updates. I say more power to their wise decision.

What you wrote definitely isn't true. An iPhone can be had for as little as $150... brand new, in box. The same logic you applied to everyone not buying high end Androids applies to not everyone buys high end iPhones.

How many more years to be able to personalize and declutter the home screen to show only most often used apps and be able to place them towards the bottom edge where they're more accessible? Hate wading through a wall of apps everytime.

Also, stop dumbing it down. Background multitasking time limit used to be 7 minutes with iOS <=6, down to 3 minutes for iOS 7 thru 12 and now 30 seconds for iOS 13.

And, allow changing default apps, unbundle Safari from OS updates and allow it to be updatable through app store, stop restricting apps like emulators, Kodi, torrent clients, etc. I own the devices, I'm not leasing them.

You own the physical device. You don't own the software.

We think alike. Having legacy game console emulators, Kodi, and Torrent clients would definitely make the need to have an Android phone as a secondary device redundant.

More robust background multitasking management could come in 2020 due to battery improvements, in addition to more RAM (rumor says up to 6 GB starting for all 2020 iPhones) and the A14 chip.

With Jony gone, it would be amazing if they finally got rid of that stupid skinny font and gaudy color scheme. I could care less about widgets. Just erase the ios7 esthetic like it never happened.

It's not like iOS 6 wasn't "gaudy".

Not as gaudy as 7 and on.

I mean…

And will the Personal Hotspot actually work in this version? 🤭
Hmm i must be lucky then, never had an issue with personal hotspot as longbas I have a reliable 4g signal, but rhen again I’m not evryone and I’m not in the us, so the redicules split between data usage over hotspot and data usage from the phone itself has never been a consideration data is data, but then again we don’t heva unlimited data plsns
