Fascinating.. I always wonder if certain bugs could be fixed server side like this one..!! I couldn’t reproduce this late yesterday..Good call
Yup, they can be fixed, or worked around. If the bug is in iOS itself and the phone sends the deletion request, iCloud can always just ignore it.

There's no way to know what's really going on, but either way I'm glad it's fixed.

So, this is very interesting. I just tried to reproduce this bug again. I'm still on iOS 15.1 beta 2, which exhibited the bug on Wednesday.

I was not able to reproduce the bug; the photo stayed in my library upon doing the iCloud Backup. It DID however lose the name of the person who sent it to me!

I think this bug has been fixed, SERVER side. After all, the photo would be deleted from iCloud, so that's where the deletion was likely happening.

In other words, this bug is probably now fixed, for everyone.
I did notice after deleting the unwanted photo that was sent from messages as a test it wasn't automatically deleted on my other 13. Had to manually delete it.
You're probably right as being a problem on the server side.

puff... iphone SE2 (without a sim) here. After updating the no sim advice doesn't stop and this makes the youtube videos stop each 2 seconds...sigh.

Has touch responsiveness been fixed? What about tapping and waking up the screen, but it not responding to swiping up sometimes?
So far this happened to me once on my 13 PM. Sometimes I notice all the icons will jiggle with the X to delete them and I never did a long press etc. Definitely some buggyness. Didn't ios 13 or 14 have a touch responsive issue at first?

I updated my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 15.0.1, restarted both phone and watch. Both devices are connected, I can go into the Watch app and change watch faces from the iPhone.
When I go to the Face ID settings and toggle on the unlock with Apple Watch, I'm getting the message "Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch" when they are definitely connected.
The Face ID unlock with mask on is still not working.

My update failed and now when I try to restart it says it can't look for it. Then I restart the device, it tries again, keeps checking, and doesn't advance from there.

This is the 1st time ever an iOS update fails. Using IPP 10.5, last 15 version.

Connecting the iphone to the PC via iTunes for Windows solved my issue temporarily.

And i just preordered an iphone 13 on store.........sigh. 😂

Wow they fixed three things..
Yaaaaaaaayyyy..
The update will have more than that, but still, it's a x.0.1, they are quick fixes they want to get out. Bulk of the issues will be fixed in 15.1, which is likely out in a couple weeks I suspect, (if Prosser is right about the watches).

No no, they’re working very hard!

They’ve fixed.. reads notes
An issue where audio meditation could start workouts for Fitness+ subscribers.

Now that was the most pressing issue at hand for me.
We can fix the touch bug, deleted photos and ProMotion later. We have much more pressing issues with audio mediation!

2 things:
1. Releases have more things in them than what Apple state, as we've seen time and again.
2. There's different teams, with different parts they work on. So, the Fitness+ fixes are not done by the same people that deal with ProMotion, or iCloud, etc. Additionally, the deleted photos thing might be resolved server side.

I couldn't even update her phone out of the box I kept getting an error, I had to DFU restore it to iOS 15. It was quite annoying, but it works fine now.
If that was earlier this week, that error would be that for a short period, the build of iOS 15.0 the device was trying to update to had stopped being signed by Apple, but was resolved yesterday.

It seems that tap to wake issue has been resolved on my 13 pro max. I intentionally put my phone on the desk with face down, wait a moment(15 minutes, even hours long), tap to wake still works. i will keep testing it more and observe.

Does anyone else have a storage bug where the storage is severely under reported? I've had it for a while now, and I assumed it was tied into the storage bug that was fixed. However, updating to 15.0.1 from an ipsw doesn't seem to have done anything to fix this bug...

It was ok in the beta. I have a memory problem for two days on ios 15. On the iPhone it shows 6gb from 64gb, despite the fact that I have more than half of it. Constantly recounts anew. If I remove something, it counts down a few Mb. In iTunes it shows 260TB of memory used. Thx Apple.

iPhone mini 12 getting hot while charging on this build. Anyone else noticing this when charging or just in general?

after update to 15.0.1, not connecting to wifi. did everything hard reset, soft reset and network resetting but no result. Not expected this.

I managed to get this update only after finding the IPSW from here

For the IPP 10.5... then I had to use 3UTOOLS, Easy Flash, Retain all my data...

In the end I even got this screen (which meant nothing, it ended all OK):

Apparently Apple did something wrong, because to my device it wasn't installed at all, it managed to download, but failed when I sent a green light to finish the process of installing.

After 74 years, looks like safari has most of its speed back, hopefully they don’t stuff it up again. 🤦‍♂️

After a night's sleep, the Face ID unlock with the watch is now working.
