switching AB off then on is not doing anything on my 13PM its stays at 50% no matter what if I go from a bright room to dark room with door shut stays the same.. I turned it off for now and just move the toggle for what I need until new update comes out.. seems like True Tone is over correcting in beta 3 a lot warmer, turned that off too….

Just turn your phone off. Sell it and by a Nokia 5110. ??

Same. I will manually turn my down to 0 in a pitch black room switch AB back on and It’s straight back to 50% no locking or unlocking fixes it

Can agree on the Wi-Fi.
Not only speed but I am getting frequent no data on device wake-up.
5G seems to be better on beta 3 than beta 2.

Yes, but only with my buddy in LA. UK, where I’m based, messages all working fine.

I had this issue. Was my iPad being on dnd 24/7 messing with it.

It looks like Beta 3 fixed the issue with Face ID being disabled after screen repair, I wonder if this has something to do with auto brightness for some reason.

- Telus 49.0 on iOS 15.2 b3

So far only a few random app crashes on my iP13. Don’t use AB feature, but checked to see what it’s all about and the bug is there for me.

On a positive note… CarPlay maps and Apple Music works good on beta 3 .. album art was correct today

It looks like Beta 3 fixed the issue with Face ID being disabled after screen repair, I wonder if this has something to do with auto brightness for some reason.

I can't say why the auto brightness bug was born but with today's announcement about in-home phone repair and you stating this, I am going to assume that Apple is pulling a "CYA" haha. They probably disabled the "Feature" that would break FaceID without an "Authorized" screen.

Who knows what they do and how they test. One would think that a feature like automatic brightness not working would be immediately noticed, picked and rectified before even shipping the beta. But, then, this issue could be a result of something else they’re doing, and it’s a beta after all, they got the world to play with in the name of beta. No bummer. Just hoping it gets fixed soon.

Seems to be having issues with this beta. Latest one is that messages via iCloud don’t appear to be syncing

I have a shortcut which prompts to send a message to a certain person. Their contact details now show just as their number. This started with this beta.

Different trigger but same problem/bug as you.

Had to set Share Name and Photo in Message settings again

I read that this is a change in name from “Apple Relay” to more effectively explain what the service does. They felt the name was confusing to a significant number of people.
