This happened once for me on beta 1 while using Spotify. No idea what happened and it hasn't happened since. Wonder what's going on behind the scene.

We’ve had quite a few Spotify updates recently, which is a good sign somethings getting fixed.

The battery drain bug seems to have been squashed. It’s running really well on my 12.

Anyone still seeing Find My draining their battery with background activity, even with the app force-closed and Background App Refresh turned off?

Well, it does not generate the log-aggregated. Only the log-sessions and log-power appear. In ios 15.1, both beta and stable were generated, but in ios 15.2 not, and it seems that it happens from the first beta. Someone can confirm that this log is being generated or not, to know if it is a specific problem of mine or something is changing in the section of logs and performance analysis.

I have background app refresh disabled for News and it's still using a significant amount of my battery overnight. I left it off the charger last night and it dropped 9% by the time I got up. Music and Instagram were also culprits and I've now disabled BAR for them so we'll see how we do tonight.

Rogue News reported.

What to do ? Anyone else ?

MAIL Exchange & GMAIL accounts, I’ve found GMAIL to lag for ages checking for new mail. After quite a bit of research and trying things out, this, so far, has offered the best fix. Others seemed to fix momentarily. Mail has been running smoothly and emails checked fast on my 12 all today. Which is a first.

• Deleted Mail. Not Offload. Proper delete it.
• Reinstall Mail.
• Added exchange first. (I don’t think this makes any difference but just wanted to report exactly what i did)
• Add GMAIL.
• Do all your settings, sign off etc.

It’s definitely cleared something up.

On the other hand, I am struggling with a ghost Exchange account I once added in Mail, and then removed. I keep removing it, but frequently, after a restart or after a software update to macOS, the account gets added back in Inactive state, and I have to delete it again in Internet Accounts under System Preferences.

Anyone have any insight about how I could make the ghost pass from limbo to heaven?

Not on beta 3 but I’m having a weird battery drain by Siri. I’m not using Siri at all but it still accounts for 12% of my battery in the last 24 hours. I’ve disabled it for now. Anyone else seeing this?

I've seen some MDM enrolled devices do this sometimes. Is it a corporate enrolled device?

? I’ve got that on my two MBPs, the inactive one being on the other laptop.

But that doesn’t filter down onto my phone.

To clear anything up like that I’d log out of iCloud on my phone and delete data, to let it all sync back a fresh. Would be my first stop.

It does on mine too. But that cos I have the alerts turned off. Turn all of them back on and that message goes away in WhatsApp. Well it does in my 12.

It’s worded badly to freak you out I think

No, it was not enrolled per se. I had set up an Exchange account on a device myself. No enrolment of any kind. Later, deleted the account since it was just a trial for Exchange. Now, off and on, I am greeted with the ghost of that account in Inactive state being added back to macOS. Not on iOS, always and only on macOS.

I use an iPhone 13 Pro Max and running iOS 15.2 Beta 3. My concern is the Apple TV app. Focus on the Apple TV+ programs only. The programs listed in the TV+ subscription are difficult to get them streaming. This is whether of Wi-Fi or on Cellular. If any of you have the Apple TV+ subscription, then try and stream on of the Apple TV+ shows or movies and see whether streaming is without noticeable delay. If one attempt works, then try another show. Please let me know. I have had this issue since iOS 15.2 Beta 1. Just checking the waters. All other streaming apps work just fine.

I have been watching Foundation off and on and the only issue I am running into are controls like skip. They work but there is usually a pause between click and it actually performing it.

Been running into an issue with Messages (13PM).
Even after a hard reboot, Messages keeps getting stuck in landscape mode. I have to kill it to get it to work right for a while.

Reported.

Yes! Same here, no ghosts on the iPhone. Only on macOS. I set up the new MacBook Pro 4 days ago. Couldn't get fresher than that. ?

FIX

Boot up in safe mode.

Delete ghost account, from all computers options.

Restart. All gone

Oops. Can’t do that. The computer it lists (MacBook Air) is now traded in for the new MacBook Pro.

It seems, more and more, that I may have to live with this ghost or use another Apple ID.

I just did it off my new MBP.

Safe mode, deleted ghost account from system prefs.

Okay, I see what you mean. I will do that next time it surfaces.

Keep it updated if the ghost comes back. Mine has been coming rather aggressively lately. Kicked it out, came back after a restart! Removed it, was working, lo and behold, there comes the notification of it again. Made me wonder what’s going on with Apple and iCloud.

Yeah that’s what I found on research. Apple specialist says safe mode is the only way to get rid for sure. ??
