I think Apple is just getting a bit too ambitious for its development resources. And on the product side, they are really failing to come up with tentpole ideas. SharePlay was their highlight feature for iOS 15 and it is nowhere to be found, and to be honest, I don't think a lot of people care about it - tying it to FaceTime is real dumb. The tech could have been generalized and allow for you to setup SharePlay locally across multiple people/devices in the same room, or over FaceTime/Zoom/Meet/etc. Now it'll be relegated to use for family tech support.

I don't think Apple ever actually expanded the iOS development team when iPadOS was formed, and now resources are split and the cracks are showing.

Im waiting for the update where you windscreen turns you into a Memoji so people think your a pig or chicken in the driving seat. I think this is the way we are heading...

You have a crash and a sad face comes up on the headlights....

I’ve not experienced any of these bugs but wow everyday its multiple new bugs.

Dont even get me started on apple podcasts app + car play. an absolute hate crime.

My car has a simple Bluetooth connection and on the info screen it now says "T-Mobile Wi-Fi" even though it's connected to the cellular network. Not a major issue..but another bug.
The message "T-Mobile Wi-Fi" may not be a bug. It's what your phone shows in the status bar if you invoke the Control Center. It means that your phone can make phone calls using a WiFi connection instead of Cellular connection.
See if it keeps showing when you are on the road.

This is why I don't think Apple should be doing a car.. The number of iOS 15 bugs/feature removals etc is ridiculous!

I don’t know why but Apple Podcast app has been an absolute disaster for at least 40% of its existence. For those that say no, you are forgetting the first 2-3 years. It was absolute garbage.

Is the podcast app the entry point for new hires at Apple?

the bugs just keep on coming

What in the wild world of sports is going on over there? Did anyone read the beta test feedback or whatever the procedure is? Is there a procedure?
I submitted several issues and didn't hear anything back. Granted, they were minor problems, but not even an acknowledgement. This indeed makes me wonder if they're reading anything we send.

How widespread are these bugs? Been an iPad user since they first came out so I'm familiar with some quirks, but my first iPhone was the SE2. Got my iPhone 13 Mini and iPad Mini last week and (fortunately) haven't seen any of these bugs being reported. Am I exceptionally lucky, or are they not that widespread? I use CarPlay daily and it's been trouble free so far. Not perfect by any means as operating a touch screen interface while driving is highly non-optimal, but it hasn't crashed. Oh, and I disabled FaceID for opening as it was a bit too eager. I really miss fingerprint ID.

Haven't figured out how to rearrange the icons yet to put Downcast on the first screen as Apple's podcast app is awful.

Fast-forward five years when Apple has released their electric automobile and users run into software issues that prevent the car from driving and are told "refer to Apple Support articles [that do little to amend the issue]."
I'll fast-forward five years and 2 days when apple apostles will reduce the issue to a little annoyance that affects only a few users

Apple,

Stop trying to find stuff to change every year just so you can release an annual X.0 update. Take a year off from that and perfect the current product.
Thank you.

Had this issue with Carplay and switching to a new iPhones. You have to enable carplay in the general carplay menu of the new phone. It doesn't transfer over with the restore to a new iPhone. Maybe it's a security feature to protect your messages and emails etc. Hope this helps if it hasn't already been pointed out.

ios 14.0.1 came out the thursday (sept 24, 2020) after ios14 was released to the general public (sept 16th 2020).. hopefully 15.0.1 comes out today lol because this release has been a disaster!

Seems to be a pattern. Odd number iOS releases tend to have the most notable bugs show up.
EDIT: Add on the fact that remote working was utilized and some people just aren’t efficient at home (even if they think they are).
I dunno, CarPlay flat out didn't work in my brand new 2017 civic with iOS 10. iOS11 hit and boom problem solved and its worked every since

What a shame. The Jelly scrolling issue, Watch Unlock issue, now CarPlay issue. For the Jelly issue, it's you're scrolling it wrong. For carplay, is it you're driving it wrong?

I must admit, I haven't had any issues but I restored my phone from iCloud, vs using the phone-to-phone transfer method. It's a shame that all of these bugs exist in a production version of iOS. Seems like we're still on a Beta. They tried to put some lipstick on it, but it's still a Beta.

Android Auto constant crashing was one reason I abandoned Android and switched to iPhone. Hopefully this is fixed soon but no matter how long it will be better than Google's track record with AA.
