iOS 16.0.2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I have seen that in the modem versions section, the modem version of the 13 pro has been changed, and it is still in the same version as iOS 16.0 in mine. I don't know if it's an error, or if there are different versions deployed, which would be weird haha

Turning off the "View outside frame" fixes it, although it's a workaround. Looks like it's just a software issue.

Not seeing the update for my iPhone 13. Was it released to fix iPhone 14 issues?
I notice in the notes that the modem for 13’s drops down a peg as well.

That was my thought too by how it was behaving but with all of the people claiming hardware damage, one cannot be too sure, haha.

How do you have it setup on your end? I have dark engage at a specific time and disengage at a specific time and so far knock on wood, have not had issues with it not engaging. Just a single long standing bug from 15 where the camera app stays dark after going back to light mode until force quit.

This does not solve the Apple ID password prompt i encounter every restart. I am assuming that the beta's of 16.1 will be the same...

Hello. Not sure if this was discussed. When you open a third party app such as WhatsApp and try to use the camera to shoot something, the camera does not switch to macro depending on the distance between the camera lens and the object. In the stock camera app, it transitions like butter. Is this an issue with the third party app requiring an update in order to change the lenses used based on the proximity to the object?

After the update, I have played a game for 40 mins (quite warm when playing) after unplugging at 100%, and had idled for 1 hour plus 5G connection for 10 minutes (a store run), now the battery is 93%. (89% battery health)

Much better than 16.0! (iPhone 13 Pro)
 
Does this actually fix the Camera bug.

Only asking because my other half been doing my head in. Ive had her revoked camera access to all apps lol.

I thought I was going crazy but it seems like other people are having the same issue.
I even called in to the local apple store and they were puzzled as to what was causing it.

Updated to 16.0.2 and it’s still there.

I am not sure if this is new (and the intended behavior) but I noticed that if I have Maps open, lock the phone and wake the phone again, it shows me maps without unlocking. Only if I swipe up on maps, it’s returning to the „unlock phone“ interface. It’s like the wrong order?

Seems a little unsafe. What if someone steals my phone while I have maps open? They could potentially see where I live

iPhone 13 Pro here — Even after multiple restarts, I cannot Select All and delete messages from iMessage. Even when deleting them individually, they still get all glitchy and come back.

Side note: I do have an Apple Watch Series 7 and iPad Pro 11 M1, not sure if imessages is glitching b/c of those somehow, but worth mentioning.
