Mine does not do that anymore since I have a 14PM and on 16.1 beta 2 FYI .. hope its sorts out for you when 16.1 is out

Half of my text messages from 2020 and earlier are not showing, despite showing in my search. Also, my phone won’t index my search correctly
I think it’s really going to take me another week or so of daily use to fully get how this iPhone 14 Pro Max really is. I felt like I didn’t get to use it at all really when I first bought it because of all of the initial problems. Now that everything is working well for me, I feel it will take a little bit longer to dig in and see what else is still an issue, if anything.
I have been getting at least a full day of battery life on the iPhone, though. And I am only charging my watch for a short amount of time in the middle of the day. Otherwise I am wearing it constantly and so far it’s only gotten down to about 10% at lowest. I don’t trust any of those numbers because of all of the restoring and setting up. I’ve been doing over the last week. Now that I’ve had a couple days to use this release, it feels very solid.

Just following up, I pulled my iPhone 14 Pro Max from the charger this morning around 8AM CST and am currently at 44% battery. I had charged my S7 Apple Watch yesterday around noon’ish, and made it down to 8% batter just now to put it back on the charger. All great stuff

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and since 16.0.2 my battery is charging not consistenty.
I have it on MagSafe all the time and still there are interruptions. See screenshots.
Do you guys have this as well?
Edit: I have the feeling that if I do something again on the device while it is on the MagSafe that it then comes to this interruption. But I do not know what that could be.

Could be the temperature.
Your battery got hot, and it stopped charging until it cooled down.
Had a weird bug twice on the 14 Pro where the always on display turned off randomly despite being set to on. Phone was just laying on a table. Had to tap it to turn it back on. Doing a hard restart seems to have resolved it.
Seeing a lot of bugs with this release. I’ve had Settings lock up on me several times while tinkering with Focus specific wallpapers. The wallpaper previews also regularly fail to load and I just get two spinners. Tapping set wallpaper pair succeeds as it should but figured it’s still worth mentioning.
My brother texted me yesterday and said his new 14 Pro just randomly shut down while he was shooting a panorama of a double rainbow. I also regularly see the “your iPhone requires passcode after a restart” or whatever.

It just happened again. It was on the MagSafe all the time and was charging. Then I start to work with the phone and suddenly a vibration and battery icon changes from itself as if you had just put the phone on the MagSafe. Ist happened two times. See screenshot
Has been happening to me since the early 16.0 betas and seems to have been fixed in 16.1

I just want to know if I have a hardware or software problem.
Do you maybe have more information?
Does this also occur when charging via Lightning or only via MagSafe?
Is it gone when you turn off optimized charging?
I saw someone post about it once but not sure where but it has been fixed for me personally. Only occurred using MagSafe, has no issues with Lightning and optimize setting made no difference.
I think this might be by design so that it doesn't interrupt that black bubble. Maybe. I'd assume someone probably looked at your same screenshot WITH it in there instead of on the side, and probably thought it better to move it? I bet this is one of those things that will get tweaked a lot.
I was having a lot of Wi-Fi issues on 16.0.2 on my 14PM. I am now on 16.1 beta and it is better.
